We need a way to quit or restart missions. I have now exceeded ONE YEAR without being able to clear Lightbringer in the San d'Oria mission chain, meaning I can't start Bastok. I GMed it the day it happened, got a GM ticket made, and they said only the dev team could fix it, and escalated to them. I have had GMs check my ticket several times, and they say the only action is that from GMs checking on it for me, the dev team has ignored it. I'm close to the original missions being the only ones I haven't finished, and that's my main goal in this game is to complete every mission. It's also keeping me from getting a few rewards for completing the missions. I have cleared every quest I could think of involving any of the zones involved in the mission to try to clear the conflict. The NPCs talk like they already found the Lightbringer, which they normally only do after you have completed the mission, and I have not been able to get the KIs to spawn the NMs to get the cutscene for beating them. The ??? points for the KIs say simply "this looks like a place for an offering" rather than giving me the key fragments.
Also absurd is that I can't check a ticket on my own, or get a status report emailed to the address registered to my account. The GMs told me the only notice of a fix I would get would be in patch notes, which are really long, and often unspecific. The help desks I have worked for have ways for clients to view their own tickets and submit updates. They even purged the Tech Support forum and got rid of my thread being viewable.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but it would be nice to have more Home Points in Tavnazia Safehold, at least one by the Auction House, and preferably one in the upper section where many of the important story related NPCs are located. Thanks!

Would it be possible to include a wildcard feature for the rather wonderful /itemsearch? This could reduce mistakes in searching and make inventory sorting much simpler, for example:
/itemsearch "* thought" (assume * is the wildcard character) would alleviate the need to know its Frgtn. not Forgotten that's needed as the search term?

I menu cast some spells too, there's actually a sort of nifty workaround to this. Each specific way to enter the magic menu has it's own memory as far as where your cursor is placed. So Ctrl M, menu button > magic > school, bottom left pop up menu > school all has it's own individual memory. So, for example, you could place your cursor for Ctrl M at cures, main menu magic > Healing at Curagas, main menu magic > Geomancy at Geo-Frailty, main menu magic > White at enfeebles, pop up menu > Geomancy at Indi-Haste, pop up menu > White at buffs, pop up menu > Geomancy at your Entrust Indi, etc.
Ignoring that you can't have access to all categories at once, it allows you to have 17 unique positions for your cursor to automatically be when opening the magic menu, depending on how you enter it. It's not a perfect workaround to filtering out only the spells you need to see, but it does save you from having to move around a list of hundreds of spells.

If you open the chest by Horst that appears during Abyssea Extravaganza, you get a free Lunar Abyssite, and 10 of the best atmas. That's the adjustment they already did, which should let you farm more atma and other KIs. I believe the event is going on right now, or it happened within the past week. You can also ask your LS to help you, or do shouts for pickup groups. Don't rely on people already being in the zones, gather people in Jeuno or Adoulin.

Correct me if i'm wrong but there is a separate menu for each when you click on your own characters mini menu and not the one under where the list of menu's were listed with the status bar/button on top. anywho go down to the mini menu magic button and you will find an white arrow beside the word magic slide your cursor sideways to the right as I look towards my screen and if you on pc/laptop all you have to do is tap your keyboards arrow to extend out to the separated lists of magic and its the same with changing the chat feature or going through each chat mode in a button menu mode way.

Additionally, I'd like to see "Keyboard commands" implemented for the mini menu list that pops up after clicking on your own character for such things as the usable items list and more. will edit more as soon as I recall the rest were to the mini/sub menu list since not sure what to really call that menu list only available when clicking on your character.

:confused: I was wondering if anyone has noticed this error in the mix up of the description of the newly added split windows where for the fist split chats window where the description text states: Window 1 say, linkshell, unity, etc. beside it but it erroneously the chats/chat log for one appears under window 2 opposite of each other and visa-versa for window 2 too based on the description text of the window describing its currently intended actively to being used or posted inside?? I hope the ffxi fix errors teams catch a hold of this error soon too. :confused:

Blue Mage AF has a JP midnight wait on each piece.... that is ridiculous. Takes over 4 days to complete it compared to most jobs.

Otherwise, it becomes quite difficult to gain skill and then learn further spells. Thank you!

Actually it was one of my first fastest and easiest spell's to learn when the new job first arrived with the expansion pack at the beginning days as being a blue mage in Gustaberg/palborough mines but that might not be the exact location I'm thinking of but i'm just saying thats all it was to me but not to sure about anyone else. Btw, there wasn't newer higher level monsters yet in those field/tunnel areas yet when I did it for blu spell's.

I realize this is probably one of the stupider QoL things to ask for, but it'd be nice to be able to change macro books by holding down ctrl/alt or their equivalent controller buttons and press left or right, much like you can do with macro pages by holding ctlr/alt + up/down. If possible, it'd be faster than having to always open the menus and change books after changing jobs.

I mean holding down the buttons and using left and right to change books, you only have to press the button once to bring up macros and then use left/right to choose one. You have to hold the buttons down to flip pages in the same book using up and down, it'd be nice to be able to change books in the same fashion using left/right, although there may be an issue for people using keyboards and arrow keys for their macros...though not sure why you wouldn't just hit ctrl/alt + #
Edit: Thinking on it, to solve that problem they could make us hold ctrl+alt(or equivalent buttons) together then use left/right to change books, might be a work around keyboards having to hold ctrl/alt to choose a macro using arrows

Whether you are saving them up or have extras to spare, they're sure to take up a considerable amount of inventory space. Would it be possible to introduce the means to store them, perhaps with the NPC Monisette? Thanks!

Home points in Beastmen Strongholds in the past by the BCNMs, in Halzam Testing Grounds
Decrease timer for Assault tags as your rank goes up
Show the decimal point for crafts and skills
Be able to warp to beastmen strongholds in the past from towns
Trading 3:1 limbus upgrade items for an item you want and/or buy the ones you want with ABCs
Make empyrean weapon upgrade items non-exclusive (can exclude souls because of demand and possible monopolizing)
Being able to be apart of multiple crafting guilds at once for points
WKR/Delve Gun (bullet from hurkan doesn't count and X-bow from Shark doesn't either)
Allow to get multiple stones from NPC for skirmish at once instead of one at a time
Unlock Relic WSes so that they can be used with or without the weapons
Please please please add ToAU, WotG and SoA jobs to relic weapons; I know its been asked before, but its only fair (would love to use Mandau on DNC!)

Change Einherjar's time limit to 30 minutes regardless if there is under 6 people, people are not gonna waste time being in there, its a get in and get out thing.
Make Reforges for Abjuration gear and Salvage.
Be able to go into beaten mission fights for fun. Also make it so on CoP mission fights can choose to have level cap on fight or not (the idea of doing "One to be Feared" with the level cap for the fun of it brings a challenge back that can be done again.)
Make ToAU Kings (Khimmy, Hydra and Cerby) pop NMs. You get the items from the ISNMs and then those Kings have a chance to drop a higher tier pop for even better items
Remove runic portal animation along with Magian moogle.
Remove tally wait for Ebisu Rod
Uncap the rest of merits; with Job Points becoming mandatory/necessary at this point, being able to merit everything shouldn't effect things drastically.
Decrease wait time for relic stages, totally unnecessary in this day and age; JP midnight is at the most acceptable
When getting Campaign tag ask automatically if you want in a Union
Make Campaign like Reives where you get performance evaluations instead of having to take off your tags
Add a guard stance on mnk where you get high guard rate and some PDT but can't counter while active
Adjust drop rate of Crystal Petrifacts so they drop less; having a chest that has 3+ in them is uncalled for
Make Magian Trial Weapons upgradable to Ilevel, only thing this system is really good for at the moment is for empyrean and relic armor and REM weapons

New jobs were not added to the mythic or empyrean weapons either so there is therefore no precedent for a chance.
Unrestricting merits will also never happen, the system was deisgned to require you to make choices; merit points are much easier to get than job points as a tradeoff.
90% of the stuff on that list however is very much YES PLEASE, though. :)

Edited-In: I'm more on the idea of storing then sending them to your second\another character on the same account but then again both being active or having the ability to send them to either character and store them would be cool too. :cool:
well since we are sort of on the topic, i'd like to see them up-gradable to higher versions and maybe even reforged versions of there weapons. well maybe only on certain types!? :D

:confused: So i have been noticing that /itemsearch fails quite a bit. Specially after it failed to find any instances of the item you searched for and then manually finding it, then doing the same search again while looking right at the item with everything spelled correctly on the items name and it still fails to verify the items existence in in any of you mog spaces/inventory.
:confused: The other thing I've noticed is that my 2nd character to becoming a main characters trusts icons in front don't show up like they should and only show blob-balls of glue as an icon. Any Ideas as to why they show up on one character like they should but not on the other character on the same account?? Maybe the final fantasy team has ideas as to why as well??

You already get both.
Go to Job Points > Job, then press left or right. At the top it says: "Combo Total" which is the # you have used on that job. Gifts activated are bolded, those yet to be activated are grey. Doesn't say remaining points needed, but it does tell you total required. So just subtract that # from the # at the top.

There's two spell menu icon sets, the original where every spell has the same icon in the same magic type, except for the elemental color, and one where spells have more unique icons. It's in your config menu. The new Trust icons are only for the new icon set, they don't affect the original icon set. Your 2nd character is set to use the old icons, and your 1st character is set to use the new ones

Was at work, couldn't check the game. Config > Misc. > Icon Type > 2. Type 1 is the old icons, type 2 is the new ones where every icon is unique.
It's not just for Trust icons, it's for all spells and JAs. Of course it's not going to be labeled for Trusts.

Okay according to ffxi's wiki new years guide your supposed to trade stacks of certain foods until the little sheep are full enough in certain area's to get cait sith to spawn or pop up and join the group but i've traded 3 days strait between stacks of napa and La Theine Cabbage with only me seemingly to be in the xarcabard but no cait sith-{mythical cat}? I also wonder if the mythical cat can only appear in one area out of vana'dieal at a time and no where else at the same time?
now my other question is, isn't there supposed to be goblins running around in xarcabard on leviathan server for the goblins vs moogle's event like last years event? please let me know since i have given up any hope thus far to get the mythical cat to pop at all in xarcabard on the leviathan server, Thanks!! :confused:

I would like to see this feature as well. I feel like I'm stuck on Mission 9-1 and haven't been able to contact a GM about fixing it.

from your link it looks like you are attempting 8-2 Lightbringer. Can you first check your Profile and Mission log to see that you are indeed on that Mission.
Next can you list the steps (in detail) that you are taking to complete the mission. Please do so as you are doing it, not off memory nor copying from wiki.

I also posted in that thread as I'm having the same problem with Bastok 6-2. I posted a bug about it back in 2013 and have yet to see anything done about it. Yes I have attempted every single step (following Multiple wikis), Multiple times, over a span of a year+ now.

I went through the entire quest with an LS member, and we talked ot all the NPCs at the same time. The part I am stuck at is getting the Broken Key Fragment KIs needed to spawn the Nio NMs. Everything worked up until that point. My LS member got the KIs, I didn't, and we travelled through the entire mission together. He got the CS after killing them, I couldn't. The NPCs afterward back in San d'Oria's Chateau responded to both of us as if Lightbringer had been found, but I can't complete the mission because I'm missing two cutscenes, the one in the temple and the one with the king. It's been a little while since I went through it, but I've done so about 5 times, the last after clearing out every active quest in my log that used the Temple or the Chateau, and it still wouldn't give me the KIs. It says "this looks like a place for an offering" or something to that effect when I check the ???s. My main time to play is on Saturdays, for a block of about 4 hours, so I'm not sure when I'm going to try again. I've told at least 2 GMs exactly the steps I have tried, and they are in my post history for threads I have created on being stuck. The threads always get closed and filed into the hidden Resolved Issues forum in Technical Support.

we should be able to /shout, /yell, /say and access the menu while we are dead just as you can in FFXIV
also we should be able to see a list of EVERYONE in the linkshell and who joined and who left, just as we can do so in FFXIV.
also shorten the recast time on summoning your wyvern for Dragoon, every other pet job can summon their pet instantly, if drg dies they have to wait 20 minutes, the timer needs to be shortened.

please allow Guild Point items to be put on a slip or muled to same account. I have almost all of the furniture and skill + gear for all crafts (yes i went and got veteran/expert in all crafts).... it's taking up a lot of room, lol.
ooh, i remembered another option that would help that someone else mentioned. allow an inventory space for mog house furniture only. wouldn't cover the skill + worn items, but better than nothing.

Can you actually get higher than level 70 in sub crafts? I thought the rule was that you could get to 70, then you had basically 40 "extra" points to divide up among all your crafts (excluding Fishing and Synergy). So that you could get up to 110 in a chosen craft, and 70 in every other craft (which is what I did).

you only get 40 extra points to take crafts above 70. what you can do is take a craft to 98, get expert, then level another craft above 70. the one at 98 will lower at the same time once the one at 70 gets to 82, but you retain the title of expert. which is what i did. and so that is why i have all the stalls, and almost all of the other furniture and worn skill + items as well.

Yeah! it's just the one of the things that I really despise about leveling crafts into the higher levels by raising yet another craft into the higher tiers, you can actually loose all that time consuming hard work on another craft as it drops in levels just because you decided to do yet another craft to benefit you or some one who looks forward to seeing you craft stuff and you would love to do it in all crafts as well. It's like it's punishing you for pursuing into going further with another craft in a way as well!!
I also don't agree with the guilds being at a type war at least in somewhat mini story line of what I recall on how you they don't allow you to have the ability to purchase all KI's & crafting wardrobe gears from all crafting guilds at the same time instead of one puny locked to it guild at a very slow paced gain at a time! "guessing" this type of thing may be never changed our fixed since the creators or workers, just seem to be so busy with everything else that they are there adding into the game atm. <{at the moment.} <-Who knows for sure though of course!!

Any-1 else feel it, feel the same way about being restricted to only put 7 items up on the AH out of 7 of the 80 slots type of storage's + inventory we carry around which is about 560 total!, minus the 80 on wardrobe storage = 640. I guess in way 7 slots on the ah would of been alright in the very long ago, very old days when it was one or two storage + inventory but now that we have much more we carry and wishing a lot more then the unlogical/illogical 7 slotted items on the auction house when versed with so much storage, putting 7 items only seems to small of an amount, like smaller the end tip of a threading needle, puny.
I had a few ideas to include that could solve an issue on the AH such as this and one of has been suggested in another way or with more then one type of name of the same thing previously on another thread.
#1. Make a 2nd Auction house and call it "Overstocked Auction House" or Add auction house npc's like in Norg & Tavnazian Safehold to "existing auction houses" and more ah npc's for such area's as Norg, Tavn. Safehold & Rabao for the 2nd auction house idea's that can handle the additional X-amount of items up on the ah.
#2. Create an AH Storage Vender or a huge Auction House Storage Vendor, I guess like a vending machine that will store items to be sold that you put up at the AH price you want it to sell at but of course you will get to see the ah price history before placing it up to be sold and it will be there waiting for one of the 7 items to sell and once it has open slot from an item sold out of the 7 items dropping it down to 6 etc. and it will automatically place the next item up on the ah! The only fickle problem with this is the ah sold items um..i'll call it the sold history list as it is now has to be cleared before more items can be put up on the ah, I guess it could sell it right directly from AH Storage Vendor in this case but items do take to long/a very time to sell as it is or don't sell at all as it is already which this expansion could help while waiting for those items to sell.
#3.Weeell.....Shoot forget the rest of the ideas I've had for this for everyone on all severs who've wanted the AH to increase it's slots in the amount of items it could hold into selling on the AH.
I have heard folks say that its due to the games mechanics that its reached the maxed out limit onto all it could hold all together which is the problem they have had with FFXIV and thus I'm kind of hoping the few ideas I've suggested could possibly be a thinking outside of the box work around type of suggestion, I Hope.

July 9th 2002 was when they decreased the slots from 8 to 7, after the May 16th 2002 launch. They did it because the huge population that signed up at launch all hitting the AH servers made them unstable. I would wager we have fewer players now than at launch, and a more robust server.
But yes, when the game launched, you didn't even have furniture storage. You has a Mog Safe (50 items) and a Gobbiebag (30 items), and it took a while before you could increase either of those. As such, the number of AH slots versus your inventory slots was high, at almost 10% of your inventory capacity. Now it's a very small percentage, just over 1%. That's a pretty big decrease of relative capacity. The number of items for us to use has also exponentially grown since launch.

Not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, but I did get a Rank 4 prize on one of my mule characters during the 2015 Mog Bonanza. I chose the "Sheet of Adoulinian Tunes" as I thought it would be sendable to my main, as most of the items at that tier are sendable to same-account characters. However, I was sad to find out that the "Sheet of Adoulinian Tunes" (and likely the "Sheet of Promathian Tunes") are not sendable to another same-account character...
Right now I have an item that is essentially wasted as I don't have anything to play music in my mule character's Mog House, while my main has a Spinet and Orchestrion. I suppose I should have known it was a possibility that the item wouldn't be deliverable, but like I said, most of the other items at Rank 4 are - in addition to the fact that SquareEnix has been pretty good about telling us when items are not deliverable, such as items from the login campaigns. It would be awesome if those "Tunes" items could be sent to other characters...It's not like they impact gameplay in any way. :p
(Also, I collected my Mog Bonanza prizes on the 19th, which was 1 day before the undeliverable items list was updated. My fault for not waiting, I suppose.)
Edit:
Spoke with a GM and they recommended I post here the following suggestions:
-To implement some kind of replacement system if you choose the wrong prize. Or maybe give GMs the authority to swap prizes in situations like mine (wasn't exactly sure what they meant).
-To indicate on the Mog Bonanza page the items that are not transferable, much like what is done on the login campaign pages, before the prizes are able to be redeemed.
-To allow items like the tunes sheets, cosmetic gear, and non-gameplay affecting furniture to be transferable between same-account characters.

Setting Blue Magic Spells:
Please add an empty slot before the spells begin. It is very frustrating to be 70/70 and need to set a specific spell costing 6 points for a given event and in so doing need to remove ALL set blue magic, instead of just spells costing 1, 3, and 2, which is wholesale preferable to removing them ALL. Puppetmaster could also use this exact same fix for attachments.

You could just leave an open space between each spell since its not set or locked into the game as your only able to put a spell in the next slot right down below the previous spell equipped as a maneuver into switching them around or putting in a new spell to be equipped in that spot, Just one of the methods that i've used.

You... do realize that by clicking on the spell it puts you right over that spell, and by clicking that spell as if you were going to equip it removes it, right? It's like with equipment, where if you select a piece that's already worn, it simply empties the slot.

Hey everyone, it's been awhile since I came here, but I wanted to say thank you for helping this thread to expand and help make the game better. Sadly, as you all know as of November there will be no more major updates to the game, however the dev team will continue to make simple bug fixes, balance adjustments, and if I'm correct...QoL adjustments as well. While they've stated there won't be any new content coming in, they'll continue to work on balancing current content.
With that being said, I would like to suggest some forgotten content that could really use some updating.
1) Expeditionary Force
2) Garrison
3) Ballista and Brenner
4) Chocobo Racing
5) Chocobo Hot & Cold
6) Monstrosity
7) Pankatron
These don't have any major changes, simple changes such as increase of rewards earned or more up to date rewards would suffice and make them playable again. Many people have been asking for Monstrosity it self to receive some attention, so maybe along with that these can as well. One last thing is our adventuring fellows. I know I suggested this before, but can they please finally get some new gear that goes beyond CoP and ToAU?

Monstrosity is a major thing to change in any concieveable way, unless all you want is like exp increased or something. Ballista again any change to be made would be major. Basically, they won't be able to do anything that requires directly changing core code. They can change numbers and data easily enough but like if it requires changing ffxi.dll in any way, we're most likely SOL.

I'd like to suggest bumping the time for Meeble Burrows from 15 minutes per Expedition to 30.
Reason being that there are a handful of Expeditions (Sauromugue Assistant 4, for example) that seem to have been designed around multiple characters operating independently to achieve Goal 3 within the current 15 minute time limit. It's not exactly a huge roadblock, since all it really means is that players can't open up a tier of items to purchase without enlisting some help. However, with most of the event being easily soloable now, those Expeditions stand out. It's not an issue of combat strength, but simple inability to run back and forth fast enough and/or luck in getting items.
Most Expeditions are very easily doable solo, to Goal 3, in well under the current time limit. So I don't think giving more time would impact the overall event challenge, or contribute to zone congestion in any meaningful way. It'd just be the quickest, simplest way to make the entire event accessible to solo players. Of course, going in and tweaking the requirements for a few of them would work too, but that'd require more effort.

I'd really like a way to turn off the "NEW CHALLENGE" graphic that pops up every time a Limited Time RoE begins, especially now that they happen every 4 hrs... Yeah it's not a QoL boost, I'd just really like to be able to turn it off. I personally find it annoying.

So, with the new EXP and CP rings from the event, giving infinite charges with a 2 hour recast, the double EXP and double capacity campaigns are essentially always active now. The rings give a 150% boost to gain, so more than the double campaigns do.

There is a QoL improvement to the account system that would be amazing to see, and I have had it done to my account, though it took 8 months to negotiate the process via email from 18 hours away). We need an option to change the region of our account if we have moved. The SquareEnix Account Management system doesn't accept payment from outside the region in many cases. If you have moved from JP to NA or EU, or vice versa, it is really hard to pay your monthly fee, and the only current option otherwise is to start all over with a new character. This is a poor option for people that have been playing the game for years. I am proof that it can be done, as my NA SEID has a JP POL account linked to it as of 2011. All NA and EU accounts, when the SEID system was introduced, were given an option on first login to change their region to the opposite, light of how many EU players had imported the NA release, or had moved. JP accounts were never given this option, and fighting with support is a long process when not in the JP time zone. The game is 13 years old, and most people don't live in the same place for that long, plus work can relocate people internationally. What's the point of globally shared servers if you can't keep your account when you move to a different country?

I'm mainly talking about the ones like Lebros Supplies, where it's not actually a difficult fight or anything, it's just something that requires more people than most can usually find to do such a thing these days. I've been a First Lieutenant for about 6 years now, it would be nice to attain the Captain rank. It's not just Lebros Supplies, but a few other assaults as well. Now may be a good time to re-think and tweak some of these assaults that require a good number of bodies to complete.

I wish SE would made one simple fix to FFXI. A self imposed level cap. For example: I want to level in Valkrum Dunes but my friends and I all have jobs that are way above 20. That area is dead to us. Why not make a command like: "/synch Prrsha 20" to reduce my level to 20. Then my friends can synch to me and we can have a blast reliving old zones the way the were intended. A primary example for this is CoP areas. I'd love to just beat CoP the old way with my friends for the heck of it, if only for the challenge and satisfaction of doing so.
This simple change would draw many of my friends back so they could experience Vanadiel like it used to be... if only by a small amount. Currently they are all on retro servers and I just can't get them back to FFXI here. They all miss the "good ol' days" :/

?? As Far as i know Level sync still exists in the game of the FFXI but must be synced to the leader of the parties level to sync your job done but you also don't have other jobs with in 3 level's above or below there level to level with them as well..??

I doubt that you can solo lebros supplies even now without an incredible amount of luck. Those fish stews don't come very often and those NPCs are really far apart.

- Adding more homepoints to Tavnazian Safehold
- Adding homepoints near the Trail Markings in Beaucedine Glacier and Xarcabard
- Adding a hompoint near the Cutter in Arrapago Reef

- A means of storing Rem's Tales on an NPC (preferably Monisette herself)

The Rhapsodies KI that allows LB5 battles to have Trusts summoned in them omits the GEO and RUN job fights. I have seen people on Reddit reporting they are stuck because of this.

Something comes to mind now with how long leveling crafts up takes compared to skills and levels, especially leveling fishing. We have crafting kits to not have to hunt down ingredients, and you can craft pretty mindlessly with /lastsynth, but Synergy and Fishing require more active control to skillup, and take longer to do so, especially fishing. Could some skillup consumable like we have for combat and magic skills be done for any of those? Crafting kits cover most of the original crafts, except fishing.

Just sucks that the only way I can check is either by warping back to town or dismissing her to check the magian log which both pretty much means wasting a charge.

Given the increased amount of storage can I re-iterate an earlier request? Any possibility of adding a wildcard search to /itemsearch?
e.g.
/itemsearch "creed*" would return all items starting "Creed"
Maybe limit the number of returned items and/or the minimum number of charaters in the search string, but overall I, for one, would welcome this change :-)

Al Zahbi actually used to have a home point, but they removed it because Beseiged kept reaching max player characters, and if you were KOed you'd be unable to return to your home point. I actually had it set before they removed it and kept it set until a bit after WotG released.

Holy crap am I annoyed at winding up on the second floor of my mog house when I mean to have left it. Muscle memory is an amazing and frightening thing. Fix the damned menu already.
I'm going to throw this in a trust suggestion thread as well, but it is quality of life.
Why not have player hp/mp recharge just like Trust members when not in battle.
It seems silly to me that I occasionally have to /kneel as a mage when all the other members in my party are quickly full.
The trust regeneration works very well. It runs off clock ticks and gradually increasing in strength. Feels very similar to how they have it in ffxiv so you can refill as you run around.

This suggestion would work better if you were chatting about an adventure fellow with needing to do the /heal -err- i mean as you said it the /kneal command since a lot of times you have to kneel > /heal before they can fully recover again.
Oh, I might add by saying isn't this in place already by using refresh and regen by chance, I don't know its just an idea to have them on by being casted or wearing gears that have them on 'em in which that might be something that work's for you?? ;)

Al Zahbi actually used to have a home point, but they removed it because Besieged kept reaching max player characters, and if you were KOed you'd be unable to return to your home point. I actually had it set before they removed it and kept it set until a bit after WotG released.
/: Yes I know, I'm not stupid, I knew there used to be a home point in Al Zahbi and which it is also why I said not a Home Point for instance bungie. I have posted in other forums to others about the Al'Zahbi home point in which you could lock your character to upon K-O'ing and note-ing to them how it used to be there once before > :p {he-he)
Edit with a side note: I was also one of the very first english players to hit Nashmaru with x2 characters when the Aht Urhgan Expansion was released Back in the day. I'm an extremely old player, not some new player who crawled out of some lost neck of the woods not knowing what used to exist.....{ha-ha, hardy' har-har!} :D

I will disagree, players cant compete with trusts if trusts have infinite mp and never afk. I see now harm in it since out of battle is out of battle. No need for more down time just to make things slower.

I agree with this in the timing to being able to go inside to gathering items to complete tasks to get things done... Also another reduction on pricing of the cosmo-cleanse couldn't hurt i'm betting at this point with all the changes happening.. ;)

Also lower the time on TOAU AF quests. No reason it should take a week to get the whole set anymore. Campaign weapnskills should be able to be quested..Like why doesn't RNG and THF have bloody quarrel already>.< always found it to be abit odd the some jobs don't have a A+ in their job specific skills hint hint SMN.

Each Limbus zone is instanced and exactly 1 instance can exist at any time. You go in, everyone else is locked out.
That's why you need a lockout timer on Limbus.

Yeah but i'm sure it could be fixed, changed, redone at some point? Dynamas used to have the same problem as limbus years ago but now with all the changes, monsters added with a touch of higher level's, processing in dyna, time hour glass was a solid item in dyna leaders hands breaking into duplicates until it eventually became a permanent KI item, etc. with all those changes dyna was transformed into a different entrance form of a battlefield and i'd say if the FFXI crew wanted to do it with assuming many touch ups, they probably could change it over to be a workable situation for all to enter.

BB>Wallace since you mentioned Aht Urhgan quests, I'll add to that with I wish they would make a change to the Aht Urhgan Mission 46: Imperial Coronation where you have to pick out equipping some appropriate gears or rather an appropriate Body piece of gear which is the same as you had to do for Aht Urhgan Mission 17: Guests of the Empire.
Umm... Basically what I was trying to say is there should be more gear options past old max cap level 75 with gear selection options shown to be stopping at that level as well [since it's like everyone says we're being past the years of 2007>2014 anymore<{whatever}] since we even have newer looking gears or redone gears all the way up to there I-level's counterparts like Reforged Empyreans, Reforged Relics, Reforged Artifacts, even lower level gears that never got there +1 counterparts but now exist through unity/other methods with an I-Level version on the upgraded type of their regular versions of that gear type or gear set which should be added to work for these two missions progression. I'm also sure the Adoulin Councilor's Garb would fit into the gears you could be wearing for this mission's 46 cut-scenery of the Imperial Coronation.
Also could add more gear description Titles that would be fitting into seeking the more gears that fit into those categories, like for the reforged blue mage empyrean body >Hashishin Mintan< & <Hashishin Mintan +1> could be White with Blue speckled silver Embroidery or White with a Blue Speckled Pattern for instance.
Now for the main reason I started this article is because i'm having a problem remembering which equipment title I choose for an option on the body pattern/embroidery piece to wear and I have /checked back with the two Salem Sentinels NPC's that should be giving a hint as to what the selection was that I had chosen but instead I just get text from Naja Salaheem stating something about not being late for the Imperial Coronation with giving her a bad reputational impression. I actually wish there was an option from naja to reset and being able re-choose or have her after a period of time asking you did you change your mind on the type of clothes you wanted to select to wear to the imperial coronation in her fashionable tone of voice way thus I could finally complete this mission easier into finally get it done. ;0 ;) :cool:

If you rejoin the match from zoning out, your equipment locks the moment to take an Aggressive/Supportive Action on one of the people playing. Just a thought, I miss watching the Ballista Tournaments of long ago.

I know this is an old request but could we have an option to play in borderless windowed mode?

Windows 10 pro basically does this Border-less with my ffxi game all except for the title bar at the top of the screen that lingers there permanently while I'm playing the ffxi game! :D
Just wish there was an option under the ffxi's own config tool to hide the Final Fantasy XI title bar at the top of the screen allowing more of the game graphics screen to be shown behind it and pops back up only after it is highlighted with your computers arrow allowing you to click on minimize button if needed to be honest! ;)

I saw with the FFXIV release in Korea happeneing, they have a different subscription option, on top of the 30-day one. They have a 30-hour subscription, which is priced a bit lower than the 30-day one. Since I only get one day a week to play, I generally only play less than 30 hours a month. Why does only Asia get such a subscription model? I've only seen it for MMOs in China and Korea. I would love this sort of thing.

In a similar manner to mannequins, would it be possible to have a weapon rack? I'd love to be able to put my old (but still kept for sentimental reasons!) elemental staves on display for example. A simple wooden stand, placed in the Mog House....

Would it be possible to add a search feature to equipment sets, such as a command or an option in the equipment sets menu? I think that equipment sets were long overdue and very helpful, but, as an example, if you have multiple sets using the same piece of gear, a way to find where the piece is referenced (such as if you're replacing it with a better piece) is currently limited to checking all of your sets one-by-one and looking for the outdated piece. A way to output something like "[X gear] was found in equipment set #3" via a search result would be very helpful in keeping equipment sets updated and current!

I realize I could easily level a mule up but I just don't have it in me to re-do all the missions again. I would even settle for just picking a new hairstyle, but would be nice to have more than the 2 choices in the character creation.

Yes, many in the ffxi game have wanted this for years for the same reasons or some of the same reasons you mentioned as for mine would be a gender change on the same old main character from a female character to a male game character and would love it if I could do this before I quit the game by march of 2016 including complete everything in the game because of promising my family, friends and my fellow church members that I'd work on my real life since promising them that this game is ending by march 2016 as well.
The ability to search for an item your main or mules have and where it's located: example search item "Oxblood" results Mule3 Mog Sack quantity 2.

I tried to find materials for my AF quests today. For several of the pieces, I couldn't find a single item. I thought maybe I could just bite the bullet and buy the materials and try to find someone to craft them but none of the materials to make those were available on the AH either. This is just demoralizing. Just let us bypass this step and throw gil or imperial coins at the NPC. :(

:confused: Yeah, can anyone else confirm there having an issue of not receiving the cutscene with there characters for the Rhapsodies mission "Ever Forward" upon clicking the Aht-urhgan's Whitegate Palace Door and nothing happens! But you zone into your home city {present day} and get the presumably next cs in the storyline even though you know you didn't get the previous mission storyline complted?? :confused:

You need to go further in ToAU missions. There's a "split path" for that Rhapsodies mission so to speak, but it all revolves around you not being past a certain point. Essentially, Aphmau needs to be "in" whitegate and not out in a field or dungeon somewhere.
Yeah, I had that happen I had to go to that dungeon outside of whitegate (name is blanking on me atm) and do next quest. Then I tried the palace door and it worked.

This isn't a direct QoL improvement, but it's something I would really like to have added...
Please make a way to turn off the "NEW CHALLENGE" graphic that pops up on Timed Records of Eminence quests. I'd also like to see the Escha Bead/Silt pouches be applied to an existing chat filter, or new filter. I've turned them all on and I still see people spamming them. It'd be nice to be able to filter some of this stuff out.

Another suggestion I have, but I'm not sure how it would work with summoner and beast, but would it be possible to have our pets out either inside of our mog house or mog garden? For example, our automaton could either be sitting in a corner/bed/chair or somewhere dancing. Our wyvern could be perched on top of something or laying down somewhere. For summoners maybe if they have carby out have carby doing something.

With Trusts being so common in the game the change makes it very likely that you will target one of your Trusts, which is already easily done with F2-F6. As it was, it was very convenient for targeting foes without having to sift through your Trusts. Now it's much less useful.
The issue I'm referring to from the patch notes:
This issue wherein pressing F8 when a monster is in a player's field of vision would give targeting priority to monsters rather than non-combat NPCs directly in front.

I swear abilities used to be up by magic before ( I could be wrong ) but it seems really retarded to move it down under craftin menu. magic and abilities are things you can do and should be grouped together. This has been buggin me since synthesis menu was added.

I think i remember a response once about this as to prevent mistakes. but im more liable to make a mistake each time i have to go into the menu than the one time purchase of all the chapters I can buy at the moment. ...Yes, you'd have to use it 99 times, but you'd have to do that with 8 stacks of 12 and 3 leftover as well. The point of making it stack to 99 instead of 12 is that those of us who farm CP in Escha get one for every ten enemies we kill, plus those in chests, and so we fill up our inventory quickly. Which is more effective, 99 items filling one inventory slot, or 99 items filling 9 inventory slots? It doesn't change the fact that if you had 99, you'd have to use 99, regardless of how they're stacked. >_>;

Could you please provide a detailed explanation of each food in the game and what does the positive and negative states gives?
info starts to get spotty post audolin, but most of this information is already avaliable on various community sites and wikis. Thus I'd limit it to newer items, as most such items we already have detailed info for all over the net.

Also, if you have access to the Japanese Ultimania guides they have been putting out for the game every year, they have a lot of item stats officially given there, which is where the wikis have gotten some of the information. Square does Ultimania guides for most of their big games in Japan, which are the most complete guidebook you've ever seen.

Like you have the option to do for waypoints, can crystal teleports and book teleports also have the option to remove confirmation dialogue or at least make the default selected option Yes?

It was actually the August update, but yes, they have indeed already implemented saving equipsets to the server. I have made use of this feature myself when I needed to switch to another computer, and it worked without a problem. :)

Speaking of requests, could it be possible to make it so you can set the second floor of your Mog House as the default area when you enter? I love the addition, but unless I have time to kill I usually don't bother switching floors because that adds an extra zoning to the process.
Also, about Ulbukan Soul Pyres. Would it be possible to make it so after accepting trying to solve it the first time you just had to click on it once per attempt instead of having to go through the text and then confirm every time you are going to make a new attempt? It could then just display the percentage message every time we clicked on it.
Even if you added a 1 or 2 second delay to the process to prevent double clicking it would still make it much faster and convenient.
I think it would be incredibly helpful to have a Treasure Hunter icon added that would display the current Treasure Hunter value on the enemy you're fighting. Maybe something like the Utsusemi icon that displays the number of shadows remaining.

Add possibility to teleport on each znm location directly could be nice or just add the possibility of poping znm monster from any znm pop ??? Mark.
I have activated the quest "Duties, Tasks, and Deeds" years ago, and, maybe I've missed it, it seems there is no way to know which mythic weapon I've started.
Please add this information somewhere, for example by talking to Paparoon or Abquhbah.
Actually, you could even allow us to switch the weapon without restarting. It's not like the quest is different for each weapon.

I'd like to suggest adding the equipment obtainable with Battle Trophies to the A.M.A.N. Reclaimer.
I'd also like to suggest adding an option to buy the spawn items of ZNMs (possibly excluding Pandemonium Warden) that you have defeated before instead of having to start over from scratch each time.

Could you make it possible to choose which window the text from /echo shows up in? It is shown in the window that displays battle messages and damage by default and thus gets lost in all the spam. The only work around I found found is by completely reversing what is shown in each window.
Could you possibly add a visual indicator, some sort of sprite image, to indicate "???" and other various things that are otherwise invisible but target-able on the map.
I'm trying to not look everything up as I play through this time and some of these locations are rather rough to find. It also makes no sense. For instance the second quest in the expansion add-on "A Crystalline Prophesy" titled, "The Echo Awakens". How am I to know to click on that spot, the boy told me he'd be waiting in Qufim Island.
I'd consider the same for the spawn location for the NM "Yara Ma Yha Who" since players could walk by this 100 times and never bother to see it. Also the "Goblin Alchemist".
I say this to kinda cater to anyone that's new starting. So all of this content doesn't just go to waste. It might be neat to walk by that "???" in Tahrongi Canyon your first time through and click on the glowing spot to read "this plant looks wilted" and think "I can add some water to that, bring water and see what happens. Same with the Gob spot.
They're target-able, so I don't imagine adding a sprite to all of them taking up too much time.

Could we please have the job points menu have cursor memory. The merit point menu remembers what job you had last selected so seems it has to be possible to add it to job points as well. Its kind of annoyin to scroll down and find blue mage in a hurry every time i want to check my status on job points as im exping.

I didn't get as many points this month as i'd like to because of being busy and all but surely hope they'll include more campaigns with upgrade items such as Pil's Tuille that I was going for but ending up 500 points short and positive I would of might of had them over night/early this morning if my pc wasn't messing up to be frozen plus rebooted with game running but minimized while pc basically mostly frozen due to dells support assist app that had malfunctioned in which I had to hit the power button on my laptop to shut it down.. After reboot uninstalled app and lbrought up the playonline log-in screen and Did the tool under the playonline viewer log-in screen to check files under playonline viewer, next ffxi files, then since i still have tetra master files for some unknown reason, i had checked them as well.
Sorry went off topic but mainly wanted to state, I hope they do more of those campaigns very extremely soon with upgrade items such as those as I cant afford in gil's at the rate of those item's cost and yes very horrible at making or increasing gil's here so that be my route of choosing to get those items for my furthering reforged upgrades as i've not had luck in the killing vw-nm ways or no ones really doing them any more anyways. well other bit of it not having the right jobs or spell's to do it anyways but easily die to much if I do, do it.

I know this probably isn't a major thing but MUM Medals in the Mummers Coalition are not in any of the Currencies tab, they should be.

Could you also include a Survival Guide for the Boyahda Tree? You got Dragon's Aery right there, so it seems pretty odd to skip over the popular 60's leveling zone that you have to pass through to reach it. It's the only zone in Li'Telor that doesn't have one and it's probably the most traversed zone in the region nowadays.
Sure it has a Home Point, but so do zones like Teriggan and Ru'Aun, plus it's much further in and surrounded by higher level mobs than the ones near the entrance/Grounds Tome.

I was thinking of adding Survival Guide, Home Point, and a Runic Waypoint or a Runic Waypoint Zone-in to Purgonorgo Isle and of course there all separated to be located around the island in various area's.
Just thought of this while here and wondering would it be possible to Add some Nomad Moogle's/MH-Moogle NPC's to Purgonorgo Isle as well, Like you you guys did with selbina and mhaura a few years back. Also wonder if it be possible to add AH npc's around the island or somewhere on the island kind of like Raboa and Norg has in their area's? :D
What do you guys think, a bit over the top or is it really a cool idea?? :cool:

thing is, it also toggles the clock display on and off, so you have to hit it twice.

Alternatively, use "/clock on" which will display all the information from clock and toggle the display on, or keep it on if it already is.

I'm not saying that people on Asura will let you join their shouts. You will probably have to make your own because PUG tend to pick one way of doing things and never change. But that said, Mana burn and Melee strats can clear it just as easily as BST strats. I try to spread my time evenly among the three just to stay sharp. You never know what the cray babies are going to get nerfed next. ;P

Definitely - I've done every content with a collection of jobs, the "general" base will only want the path of least resistance, hence the current outrage.

With cheap warp scrolls and an unlimited warp ring with only 10min recast, there is no need for Warp2 in today's FFXI. The only use it gets nowadays is allowing someone be a complete jerk and screw you. For example, few hours ago someone in my party used it on me just before our skirmish ended so i didn't get any of my loot. Instead of completely removing the spell, could also just make it so we are given the option of returning to HP when it is cast on us. Basically, the same as when we are KO'd.

Avoid blm and /blm or just afk myself? That's your solution? So dumb...but you do have a good point about the afk'ers. For that, just make it so the option to take it or not only lasts a minute or 2. Problem fixed, unless they're sitting there watching the screen while afk then they aren't technically "afk" so you lose your justification in using it anyway.

Would it be possible to reduce the repop time for all Abyssea timed-pop NMs ?
The fights don't last long at all but the process of waiting 10~20min each time because you're missing one KI to pop a boss gets old real fast when farming for empy, and that's even worse if someone else is farming the same NMs.

...Seriously? I'm all for adding some ease to the content but capping lights on Voidwatch is easy, and this feels like a case of "I just want to smash things and get loot." Why not gut the content completely, so that you click the void and get free loot? Most times I'll go BLM/SCH with a full support trust crew (usually Ulmia, Joachim, Koru-Moru, Apururu, Moogle) and if the procs aren't to my liking, I can /fume and they'll shift again. Given what a large chunk of procs are elemental spells, capping lights should be extraordinarily easy. And before anyone goes on about how hard certain NMs are, I'd like to counter that phase displacers are cheap at only 1k each.

I want to just smash things and get loot. I hate the VW system. It is perhaps the worst drop system ever invented (possibly even worse than the stupid picture system from ZNM). I get that SE made the proc system so that people would be encouraged to bring more jobs to the alliance, but it isn't alliance content any more. It's solo content and the proc system now has no purpose.

Okay I wasn't sure or couldn't remember if it was discussed but thanks! Any new word on the AH, if they've found alternative ways to auction house more item's up on yet or is it still being the same as it already is, Grekumah?
Off to the side of everything written above: i've read in the past News over it in the article forum's on this but yet I'm always hoping the dev/creator teams can be smartly inventive in/with coming up something new that's like an AH, functions like an AH into having an 2nd option or I guess in a way a 2nd building that can hold way more item's then the current ah ever did being in the direction/way the game has been going with their usefulness in re-inventiveness which woud mean a reforged AH if you will think of it in that direction. Hope some of you got a chuckle of the saying a "Reforged" AH! :cool: :) {AH = Auction House}

Rem's Chapters cover 330 different pieces of equipment. They're not all outdated. And even if they were.... why would you want to make them easier to obtain instead of just not obtaining them? Nobody goes after Fafnir for the Riddill anymore.

My Questions on the costume Flan Head gear piece and the +1 version with it ending in a few hours was it non-existent from the Halloween event this year or was it just my bad luck in receiving it on either character? As i've tried at least 90 trades of sweets on blondelle for the +1 version since I found that she had the normal version on a storage slip i'm assuming from last years event and have tried to obtain the basic one on Yogorock but just keep on getting the Trick Flan temporary costume instead.
I guess my question really is was it removed from this event this year or is there a type of bug going on instead? Could it of been or Rather Should of it been placed on the halloween moogle shops for purchasing if it was removed from the trick flan simply by trading acceptable sweets??

We've started providing this information for newly added foods since the previous version update and continue to do so moving forward. It is true that Teodor uses En-silence, but there are no plans to open this spell up to players.

However, when it comes to older foods, there's an enormous amount of items to detail. We may be able to provide this data, but first we need to identify a plan to undertake this massive workload..
I really like the changes with the Crepe which gave decent magic accuracy. I'd like to suggest introducing new quality foods that that gives significant boosts to two stats together taking into account to Content or re-adjust some existing food and increase the cap. Looking at very old foods such as some sushi and red curry
and Tavnazian Salad/Tacos, they still to this day grant a decent amount of stats, and there some new foods that were added that doesn't give big hybrid stats to accuracy and attack for players, but there are some that boosts that high for pets which is a very good thing. So I want to see if they could do the same for the players by creating new hybrid high Accuracy and Attack foods together. I like to see better quality foods that boosts more than 1 relevant stat in high numbers and when taking account into doing very high level content. I'd like to see food giving a decent amount to both accuracy and attack with more than 70+ and 80+ respectively, or food with big bonuses to Accuracy and Defense in one for tanks. Stats such as +6 STR and +6 DEX isn't just enough, I want to see more foods on the line of +80 Accuracy and +90 attack in one food.
When you compare the old food Red curry Bun (introduced years ago)and the new food Pork Cutlet (introduced august 5th update), the difference is the pork cutlet has 25 less attack but has +5 store TP but that's nothing big when you need accuracy in very high content. So they should boost some stats in existing foods to increase the cap and add a relevant stat on top of it, or introduce brand new high level content food with high hybrid stats (Accuracy/attack +80/100)

Unlike Utsusemi, Treasure Hunter is not displayed as a buff icon, therefore, this is impossible to accomplish due to the system.

Checking to see which Mythic weapon you’ve started is not impossible; however, we’ll need to add a process where players check with Paparoon. This isn’t something we’ll investigate right away, but post-January we may consider looking into this.
As for the ability to switch which Mythic you’ve started, we’ll never allow this. We regard Mythic weapons as some of the highest caliber weapons available, and as such, we’d like players to carefully consider which they choose.

We have no plans to do this.

You may want to consider lowering the difficulty of this fight. I'm not sure if you mention "Maat" Prior to this but this is quite the roadblock in the story you have set up.
I wanted the nostalgia of doing all the old mission at their level but it's taking me way to long to get past this one.
First, I have to choose my class wisely. RDM/WHM for backup heals, attacks and chainspell + curaga (second form). Then I have to find gear, which doesn't exist at these levels in order to land those magic attacks on him.
Anyway, I think the difficulty is too much with trust since you have to fill all the gaps with your one role.
My suggestion would be to lower his level from the stated 60-55 and possibly change his physical immunity to increased defense and evasion. I don't really know what you want to achieve here, as far as I remember there is nothing suggesting what level you have to be apart from the wiki and that's edited and maintained by fellow players, if you want to do it at level 55-60, do it at level 55-60. There is no level cap to the BCNM, you can do it at whatever level you feel comfortable.

So you intentionally created a problem and you want SquareEnix to fix it for you?
I don't really know what you want to achieve here, as far as I remember there is nothing suggesting what level you have to be apart from the wiki and that's edited and maintained by fellow players, if you want to do it at level 55-60, do it at level 55-60. There is no level cap to the BCNM, you can do it at whatever level you feel comfortable.

So were Silver and Gold AMAN Vouchers ever planned? Copper implies the lowest tier with higher ones intended.
While there are no plans to add these higher-tier vouchers at the moment, the development team started with the lowest tier naming convention just in case there was ever a need to expand in the future.

Maat wasn't ever really mantioned outside of patch notes as being what raises your level cap. The game launched with a level cap of 50 in May 2002, with the Shadow Lord as the final boss at initial release. In July or August 2002, they raised the level cap for the first time, because someone reached and discovered it. It took a full party of people at level 50 to beat him, but the cap wasn't there that long. The strategy also called for having one person tank him in that mode, to be the target of cures, while the rest backed off out of range of implosion, which you can't tell Trusts to do. Many people at NA release just brought a high-level friend to help them clear it more easily, so it was not much of a thing for NA players to fight him as a party with everyone capped at 50, since we had a level cap of 65 or 70 at NA release.
Any new player at this point is going to be using the wiki and will know about Maat, especially with Records of Eminence pointing out the level cap increases. Really, maxing out your level and then going quickly through the missions makes it easier to remember the story, rather than doing it as you level.

Has anyone mention the duration of the Status Effect: Medicine? Because it's super long to begin with and part of the reason alchemy is so useless in most cases, but the timer count freezes if you go offline. Anyway to take a look at that as it is?

The medication effect is different for different items. For Icarus Wings it's like 2 hours, but I think Super Ether is only a few minutes.

Yeah, they basically created us a barspell for almost all elements except for having left out giving us something like Bardark/Bardarkness, Bardarkna/Bardarknessna or Barlight/Barlightness, Barlightna/Barlightnessna which is just name variations I've shown they could name them as if its decided to give us those additional spell's to fully complete the elemental chart of barspell's usages.
Some spell's that we get debuffed onto us are really the dark based version such as sleep, blind are just two of those examples but I would think doom would be considered a dark based element but we definitely do not have a BarDoom spell on at least whm's either.
{Just Questioning this}->So basically in reality you would want up to 4 shielding bar spell's up at the same time? ~>Two being of the elements and 2 being related to a certain debuff that is kind be relating to an element, supposedly. {Is that correct?}
~I know many jobs are getting this sort of ordeal with there jobs based on what they do have to play with and type of job it is.~

Remove the 30FPS cap for the PC version and unlink the last few remaining things from framerate such as loading zones and models (there are videos on youtupe of the game running with an unlocked framerate, zones and models load faster and full shadows are faster, apparently those things are locked to the framerate)
They unlinked most of the game from the framerate back when they adjusted fishing speed on the PC, I don't think there's anything preventing them from unlinking the rest except to be "fair" to PS2 players.

Hey thanks for all the feed back info you have discovered about window's borderless mode as I'm rather used to playing inside of the game with a windowed border mode setup from the ffxi config tool a long time ago but also always only had to move my laptop's touchpad mouse cursor down to the browser icons to pop up a very mini view of the current tab page up that i'm on, now to go full page I had to of course click on it then i'm able to move through the tabs of pages currently up and now I will be switching it to the windowed borderless mode to see that mode in which you spoke of in how you must have to hit alt+tab now instead of just sliding your cursor to the bottom of your monitor's screen to able to select your browser pages.
Just a pc player's Note: For my windows 10 Final Fantasy XI Config tool, there is no "Global" settings tab but rather a "General" Tab instead to change it from windowed mode to Borderless Window Mode.;):D:cool:

I noticed that too. Typo on their end possibly...or maybe all these years it should have been a Global tab lol. I will admit I'm not too familiar with using the KB with playing XI as I mostly use the controller to move, etc. and the KB to type. I know that holding down Alt brings up my macro bar so that may have something to do with it. If it's possible to keybind to get the macro bar off Alt, I never messed with it.

Alt+Tabbing works with Borderless Windowed Mode. Just need to have another program running. I would suspect the most common ones would be Media Player (or some music program) and an internet browser.

Yup to all of the above having them opened while playing in borderless mode now i'm going to make a separate post for a possible error to playing the defeat Tiamath while getting the bahamut's Wyrmking full costume +1 event that i've noticed after being K'Oed/death then reRaised up left with a weakened signal icon and timer count. :eek: :o
Side Note: I still wishing there was a way while playing on your keyboard as a gamepad to move your character or stop your character from moving when you have auto locked your character to keep moving while at the same time your typing on your keyboard with the typing in bar up or a way to copy and repast what you had typed rather quickly to do a quick action on your charactor. One of the two but maybe having both in game would be nice too.
:(2nd Side note: I'm Stilll sad to see that we won't be getting all crafts opened and unlocked to the maxed limits all because of some player's kind of ridiculously bought more characters to having a higher costing bill into money overly spent per month just for one only purpose of crafting all craft's in which I have to suffer those consequences with keeping my bill low affordable on only 2 characters because of those players wanting it to be kept locked in the same way its been for far too long. I'm not usually one to try to represent my sadness on the forum's but this definitely one of those for me. :( In a way it's like trying to have it set up to have the rest of us forced to do the same with the remainder of the rest of the game years to be a master crafter in all craft's maxed out. :confused:

:eek: :confused: So was this weakened state timer resetting to the max limit upon each time Tiamath respawns intended to be in place for getting the Wyrmking Suit+1-{Body + legs +feet}. Masque +1-{head gear} and the KI for the I-Level Battlefield or is this simply a in game event bug occurring until you have either zoned into one of the cities from the outside area's of where the event is being held or to have the magicked level sync enchantment finally removed then re-waiting yet again for weakness to fully wear-off was intended for this event??
:confused: I was seeing this happening to my blondelle character while participating in the event where I was sitting kneeling in /healing mode and see the weakened timer start to wear off only to be reset to a maximum of one minute over and over again each time the events Notorious Monster Tiamatia with the moogles all around it would respawn with the games Level Sync Enchantment on even while being far, far away from the battlefield with the level sync game enchantment on or even standing right at the lighted spot on the ground which is the Kupofried spawn point to use your built up points. My question is: Was this intended to occur for this event or is simply an overlooked missed bug for the event going on? Community Moderators/Dev team/etc. let me know on this, thanks! ;-)

Well we all know the limitation to every storage is 80. Maybe adding a Mog Wardrobe 2 category would be nice. However where it currently stands, whenever I load my characters w/ an abundance of gear (and i'm talking about every bit of storage we have filled at 80), it takes an abundance of time for the game itself to read every bit of data from the server to my character. As much as I like the idea of having a new category for more space and as much as everyone else would love to have it, I cannot say if this would be a good idea to have done or bad idea based on if it would slow loading times down even further.
For everyone who uses mog wardrobe/inventory for gear swapping and the rest for storing armor for multiple jobs and wish there was another mog wardrobe or something similar to it, I understand what you people need and hope that this does get approved, but think about what kind of sacrifice it would make in the long run if you are one of those people that get frustrated on the load times of armor/gear/meds/etc. it takes for it to show up. This post isn't a flame to anyone or to cause a problem or argument or a disruption. It's just an opinion on my part.

Yeah I am torn, storage is awesome but imo the loading times are already AWFUL. It's especially bad for timed events, since I need every moment possible... yet the first minute is a total write off because I can't access meds or do any swaps.

It would work quicker one assumes if the game just loaded say the wardrobe and gobbie bag upon zoning or logging in. And didn't bother to load the others unless you actually attempted to look in them.
I can see the issue there of course, that if you're now in a battle and you attempt to access your satchel say for some extra meds, and you now have to wait 15 seconds for your satchel items to load before the swap to your gobbie bag with the meds. During which time you're severely deaded by the NM.
Suffice to say, there's definitely no reason for the game to be loading both of your mog safes + locker + storage thing every single time you zone. You can't even access those locations outside the Mog House.

Different zones are on different servers, so the server and your client need to know about your inventory, and the Rare tags on items so you can't work a bug to get multiples of a rare item. The delay in loading your data on the client is because the game is capped at 7 kilobytes per second for communication between client and server. If they removed that cap, the inventory would load almost instantly. The servers have a fast connections between themselves, but your game client pulls the data from the zone server, change zones and you change servers.

Would it be possible to make crystals stack to 99? I know there'd probably be some issue with regard to clusters, but I really see no reason why clusters couldn't still give out the typical 12 when used. It'd just be really nice to be able to keep more than 12~24 crystals after a farming/exp session without it utterly filling our inventory, or to buy stacks on the AH and have them last longer than 12 synths at a time, especially when our inventory is packed with materials as well.

The fact that clusters stack and are pretty easily available to farm for any 99 job now means that crystals sort of stack to 144 already. At least 72 if you count that you need to break a stack open to use it.
You just need 2 spaces in inventory to have access to 144 crystals to use is what I'm getting at. Well, I know what I mean anyway lol.

I would like to see something done so you can do this at a faster pace.. Even just an event would be nice.

God yes, I hate having to buy those one at a time instead of having the option to buy them by typing in a number of how many you want.

I would like to give an update in regards to a previous post that was made back in June of 2014.

After making it possible to enter seal battlefields with Trust alter egos in the June version update, we’ve determined a bug that removes buffs upon entry. As this is a bug that is closely tied to the system changes that allow alter egos to enter these battlefields, it will take a bit of time to fix.
On the positive side, we have been looking into changing battlefield rules. In particular, we’d like to change the system so that when entering a battlefield the cool downs of all special abilities, job abilities, and magic spells are reset. We feel this will allow you to repeat battlefields more easily and also encourage you to employ special abilities into your strategies better.
With this system change, you’ll be able to use special abilities outside of battlefields and then reuse them again once you enter a battlefield, which is why we had planned to implement a feature that removes all of your buffs upon entry.
As this is a very large change, we’d like to look into this very carefully, but I wanted to give you all a heads up. :)
The team is working towards fixing this bug as well as making this change in the August version update.

I been waiting for this for a long time and I thought camate forgot all about it. :/ I hope those bug get fix because I think FFXI can be fun again if we are allow to go all out on high tier mission battle, Unity Cord or Escha NM.
Also don't forget about Trizek Ring need to be less than 1 hour to use again.
Capacity Ring recast need to be less than 5 minute instead of 15 minute wait or add a new ring that offer 100% or 150% capacity points to Spark NPC.

I don't understand. Camate previously stated that that is what you guys had wanted. Why is it an issue now? Why can we not have all abilities to use in a fresh new battle instance?

The solution to the problem is simple. Reset cooldowns after the battle instead of at the start. Then you can't abuse the cooldown reset to get 2 uses of SP abilities in the same fight. As additional security, you can make it so you have to have enmity against anything iwthin the battle for a certain amount of time in order to qualify for the reset (much like how the Echo in FFXIV requires that you battle for a certain amount of time before it can be applied)

How about leave the "bug" so that outside buffs are always cleared, and then make it so that HP/MP are refilled and JA cooldowns reset, balance issue fixed.

I put it on Borderless through the config but it won't let me Alt+Tab out so far. Might be something with my PC as I had an issue with LOTRO doing that but then it all of a sudden started working not too long ago. Only way I could get it to work before is by having another program open while the game was running like a browser. I didn't test that with FFXI but arguably they worded it to make you think that's how it would work.
Unlike the full screen mode, this mode enables players to use alt-tab to switch to a different application window.
The development team will be implementing a fix for this issue in the December version update. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused!

I'd think I would rather see this than receiving mog bonanza marbles on a no win marble ball calling it an mog bonanza mog pell-ball but i'm just stating it. lol.
