This is the third account on which I have attempted the final portion of this mercenary assessment. Prior to the run speed update, I was able to complete the final "Run through Balrhan Way" eventually on 2 other accounts. Since the update, however, I have been very lucky to have even a single NPC make it to the finish line with me. More often than not, I end up at the finish alone, failing the promotion. I have attempted this now 36 times (36 game days).
On the two previous accounts, when I failed it was due to 1 of the NPCs falling behind at the last minute. I understand the mechanics, and use the motivate whistle appropriately, only now the NPCs fall behind no matter what. Was the 25% run speed applied to players but not to the NPCs on this assessment?
