I know a lot of people this will not affect as they are beyond the quests and 99, but for those of us who aren't, this is becoming an absolute nightmare.

Lvl 50 one I solod just, died in citadel due to bomb agro at the ??? But still finished it.
However the next one to collect 3 friggacites from xarcxabard is becoming a reason to just quit the game.

Three days now I've been shouting for help as all those from LS have bailed to xiv.
Three times I've had offers of help on condition I pay 500k Gil, that might be a trivial amount to someone high enough to farm, but for a lvl 55 that's beyond me.

I'm at the stage if thinking what's the point of playing as the next LB in the three strongholds is even worse..

If you really want to promote for people to level up, why hold that back by limit breaks that are seriously outdated

Killing three NMs to get a KI is not doable solo and with a dwindling population it's impossible to get people to help without paying way over the top.

A suggestion would be
Limit break 1:- hand over 10 beast men seals
Limit break 2:- hand over 20 beast men seals
Limit break 3:- hand over 50 beast men seals.
LB4 is kindred seals already with the follow ons seals, so it also makes it more fluid without restricting someone's abilities to level further.

As I said I know this won't affect many but for those leveling a character for the first time, this is a major hinderance so please consider either removing it or changing it to make it more solo friendly.

Oh and yes I did try to solo it, tiger one shotted me, with npc out and trust npcs.
Second attempt tried to sneak invis, didnt know they are true sight so died instantly again.
I've hit lvl 55 four times now due to down leveling due to this.
So this literally is a last ditch begging you SE to help someone out that really wants to enjoy the game!!!!

Thanks for reading and seasons greetings.

I wouldn't mind paying if it was a reasonable amount, actually did make 500k at one point from mog garden items, then blew it all accidentally one night when drunk thinking I was buying magical maps but infact was buying the airship pass... Woke up not amused lol

You don't need to kill the NMs. Just run back and touch the ??? to get the KI you need.
I recently leveled a mule to 99 and soloed all limit breaks save for the last one with very little difficulty.

If you're having trouble getting past the NMs, try something new. Maybe use THF for flee, or WHM / RDM for stoneskin, or even PLD for invincible.

Good luck!

Thanks twille for the suggestions but I don't really want to level whm, RDM or pld from level 1 just to get past a LB quest,
Ah well, will give it a few days if I still can't complete, time to say goodbye to xi

PLD learns Invincible at Level 1.

This Limit Break quest is trivial compared to some of the later quests and milestones you'll encounter in this game, so I suggest you start getting used to taking a wibbly-wobbly path to your destination instead of putting your head down and brute forcing your way through things. If that doesn't sound appealing, then I don't think this is the right game for you.

You may not like the idea of leveling another job from 1 right now, but you're going to have to eventually, and some of those options are very useful once you have them. Getting THF to Flee levels also gets you Treasure Hunter, and learning Utsusemi on NIN also gets you... well... Utsusemi. Stoneskin probably won't be enough to help you, though.

Dat if Anyone is Charging you anything for anything in his game they are not worth your time. Remember this is just a game. Move to Fenrir i'll show ya some tricks. I agree though that some stuff needs to be changed to be more solo friendly. Actually all of it should be solo friendly since the introduction of XIV. No one wants to do anything as a team in this game.

Don't blame ffxiv for this. This ball was set into motion by se long before arr debuted. Now with Trust and what not, teams will all but disappear.

And on that note, hey OP have you tried using trust npcs? If nothing else they can occupy the nm long enough for you to go touch the ???, get the ki and get the heck outta there. Anyone charging you 500k for this is a @#$%. I do things like this for ppl for free all the time, simply because its fast, easy and not a bother at all.

In my first LS, doing LB3 solo was a right of passage, so nobody would ever help with that one. Beaudux(sp?) you mainly have to watch out for true sound mobs at the end. Best bring sneak oil and/or echo drops. Davoi just takes some time to get the bloody orb I think it is. Castle O. is the only rough one, trying to hit the switch and make it through the door in time without dying.

I would recommend you just level beastmaster up to 55 then 99 first., Then whm up to 25. Then your good to go, also you will want to unlock dnc up to 50. From that point on you can solo any old content in the game. No help or nothing. It will be Just like a rpg for sometime. bst/dnc can do all the old contents story and limit breaks and much more solo.

Excepting getting a testimony for your job to fight Maat, all of the limit breaks were made soloable without killing target mobs. There are ???s that grant pieces of the items you used to have to kill mobs for (which you can still do if you really want). Prism Powder and Sneak Oil will help getting to the ???s. Also, have you tried doing the quest with Trust NPCs summoned? The quests are really easy to unlock them, there are 7 available now and you can have 3 out at once. You have your own 4 person party with a healer with Trust, and that will work in the core areas except boss battlefields.

there are items on the AH that can grant you stoneskin / blink that should be plenty to get you past the NMs. if you were on Questz i'd just go kill them for you, at ilvl 119 they'd die in a hearbeat anyway. sorry bro.

Like Elphy said, try putting Trust NPCs to work. If you use at least two that can heal themselves (Kupipi and Excenmille are easy to get), they can hold their own long enough for you to check the ???. They might even be able to kill the NMs since SE weakened them in a past update. Also, OP, you're a Dancer. You have mini-flee in the form of Chocobo Jig (you just learned it at 55). Get your Trust NPCs to take a crack at the NM, then hit your Chocobo Jig and make a run for it.

Something tells me I need to start hanging out in Xarcabard more often.

Though as other said Trust NPC's might be a big help -but- here is the thing, you can only get a few if you didn't do any of the missions (now at least have to be rank 6 in each one to get the NPC) so its a little bit of a pain for those who didn't do nation mission yet :/ maybe go for an adventuring fellow and then get the trust NPCs? though fellows like us have their own "limit break" quests but they are not bad.

Also as other said bst is best if you are always stuck soloing, some early level jugs and pet food are easily available from the NPC's in chocobo stables, but to save gil learn about Charm, which is now a days a lost art.

Dancer, Ninja, Beastmaster, Summoner & Puppetmaster or very good solo jobs-- though Ninja & Puppetmaster can get pretty pricy.

And ranking up will also unlock getting gear, like the Mercenary Captain's (the kukuri knives too) set which is good for all the jobs that can equip it, save up conquest points because its hardly ever in the AH (as with most low-mid level gear) Also save up sparks too to get weapons up to level 40~ or 50, I think there is gear too all for level 1-99.

Three times I've had offers of help on condition I pay 500k Gil, that might be a trivial amount to someone high enough to farm, but for a lvl 55 that's beyond me. Good, don't support RMT or jerkoffs in this game. Really why is it so difficult to kill off a monster for free? you are on my server, I'll keep a look out for you, don't pay me anything, i'll ether be on Tohihroyu or Cuddleslave.

What is ilvl?

item level, as in how we have gear to make us continue to get stronger once we are level 99. It's a stat at the bottom of the item description, and currently maxes out at level 119.

The 3 Trust NPCs you can get just for being level 5 are enough to handle a lot of early content, and they will make it easier to unlock the missions to get more Trust NPCs. Heck, a level 99 job should be able to get Rank 6 by themselves, especially with the Eminence gear. Ah, but then I'm missing needing to do the limit break quests once. Even then, Rank 3 to be able to get the other 3 in the first Trust release should be doable before level 50.

Do a /sea vienne when you log on, ask and I'll come help, I'm sure I'm not the only helpfull person on the server though, a good ls gets you quite far.
And no they dont have to change the limitbreaks this game has been simplified enough as it is.

Thank you for all the advice and tips, managed to finally beat the LB by sacrificing naji over and over, poor guy, surprised he still trusts me, and the next LB a lovely couple called emse and aqeeb helped me.
