Details:
It is impossible to type the "Alpha" part of the ability Fighting Stance α without using a alt+224 code as far as I know. when I use alt+224 in game it gives me a regular "a." So i was wondering if we can make a auto translate for it or change α into the actual word alpha or anything else that is actually possible to type in game, and keep this in mind if and when releasing Fighting Stance ß and so on in the future.
I was able to remedy the issue by typing α using alt+224 in notepad and copy pasting it over into game, for some reason typing it there in notepad makes the right "α" instead of "a" that i get in game, and it retains the right form when put in game.
I dont see how what PC and connection and other info matters to this bug but here it is anyways. Now I know another PC might be able to get a real alpha symbol when using the alt code but it would be much better to just change the name of the ability to something anyone could really type. And it seems my PC can make the right symbol in notepad, its just FFXI that won't display it properly.
Steps:
1. Use fingers to type: "/ms "Fighting Stance " then hold Alt Key, type "224" release Alt Key. (The only way I know to type the "Alpha" symbol) Then type "" <me>
2. The regular version of "a" shows up when releasing Alt Key.
3. Try macro. Get annoyed that it does not work because we could not have named it something simpler to type.
