Really now, a laughable spell with a laughable increase in power should not take so laughably long to get put into the game. Banish IV (and banishga III) was being laughably tested back when the Test Server was first implemented and it's laughably still not in the game (or on the test server anymore for that matter.)
What's the problem with letting us cast this spell? Its data is in the game, it's not particularly powerful, monsters have been casting it for years and years. Why isn't it in the game yet? It can't possibly be a balance issue. I mean, we all know what an extremely powerful nuker WHM is...
As much as I complain about cait sith / atomos not being implemented, this has been going for even longer I think.

Those are essentially novelty spells, and I remember a developer post a long time ago saying they don't want to implement Banish IV because they're afraid it'd be overpowered, or something to that extent.
However, this "overpowered" spell is already available to summoners, so in the meantime, whip out your Light Spirit and enjoy Banish IV for what it's worth (almost nothing).
I would rather see more useful spells made available to us (Jubaku: Ni, Dokumori: Ni, Paralyga, Graviga, and Silencega would have practical uses, while Banish IV and Banishga III would not unless the cast times and damage were substantially improved).

Still, it would be neato to have Banish IV and Banishga III.

I understand what you're saying, and it's something I often say myself- but it would cost them pretty much nothing to implement it, especially since it had already been implemented on the test server at some point.
Note that the elemental spirits are generally inferior when it comes to casting nukes, and banish IV was stronger in the hands of a WHM on the test server than it is on light spirit. It would at least be semi relevant in fighting undead mobs, particularly with the magic damage+ weaopns now avialable in the game.
The point is, it was something they were considering ages ago and no final decision was ever made nor was it ever mentioned again by a community team member (e.g. "We decided not to implement this spell" or "we decided we'd do this in 2 years" or w/e). The only message we got was around the time the test server came up where they said "we havent decided on a timeframe for banish IV yet" or something like that.
TL;DR: It's just yet another thing that was hinted at ages ago that has yet to have any closure.

TBH, Banish IV is surprisingly good when I'm lazy and some random too easy prey aggros me on SMN... Or maybe that's just cause I'm used to the 20 dmg Banish III will do.... XS
Especially given today's environment where 3k WS are... average... >_>
I don't think there's anything that need be tweaked with Banish IV for it to be implemented...
Banishga III either.
EDIT: Also, doesn't Banish IV have a near identical animation to Holy II?
That could be why they don't add it......
