Hello all,

A few days ago I decided to return to FFXI. Since I really wanted the Destrier Berret and the Chocobo Shirt I decided to get an new account.

I registered the account under my active SE account (which I also use for FFXIV). I have a security token attached to this SE account and it requires me to fill in a one time password every time I try to login on FFXI or FFXIV, which is good!

However, when I get to the screen in FFXI with all the expansion showing and the character selection button(s) I see no "secured" logo on the bottom left. I also can not access my Mog Satchel ingame.

Can anyone tell me why this is? I activated my account on 3rd of december, waited a few days hoping it would automatically activate, but no such luck. I can access everything else (Case, Sack, Storage etc., just not my Satchel).

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried customer support? A GM even? Sorry I've got no definite answers :X

I have the same problem with my second account. I think it might be because I have two POL accounts linked to one Square Enix account, so only my first account gets a satchel. Do you have two POL accounts linked to your Square Enix account?

The Mog Satchel feature is available only to players who possess a registered Square Enix security token, and have linked their PlayOnline accounts to a Square Enix account.

You can purchase the security token from the "Square Enix Security Token Purchase" Banner on the FINAL FANTASY XI page after logging into the PlayOnline Viewer or log in to the Square Enix Account Management System. Next, under the "Services and Options" section, click on "One-Time Password." From there, click on "Purchase Square Enix Security Token" to begin the ordering process.

Upon first registering your token, and logging in for the first time, it may take a few minutes before your Mog Satchel becomes available in game. You may have to log out, then log back in for your Satchel to be activated.
At the FFXI login screen (where your installed expansions are highlighted), you should see a Security Token Icon with the word "Secured" next to it, located in the bottom left. When you see this, your Mog Satchel becomes available.
The Satchel will work for all PlayOnline ID accounts you have linked to your Square Enix Account, so if you have more than one PlayOnline ID, it is not necessary to buy multiple tokens for multiple accounts. A total of 10 PlayOnline ID's can be registered to one SE account.
Characters need not possess a Mog Satchel to qualify for Mog Sack ownership.

That doesn't matter, I have two pol accounts on my SE account and one token. I can't remember a 100% but I think you have to have to link the second account to the token not just the SE account.

Ok for some reason it now shows the secured icon and I can access the Mog Satchel. Took over a week for it to show, weird! Maybe a sneaky mod here helped out :P

Indeed all characters under a SqEX account (up to 10 PlayOnline IDs) should receive the Mog Satchel, until the Token has been removed. Either a Software Token or a new Security Token needs to be registered to the SqEX account for newly created characters to be able to obtain the Satchel.

I don't remember any changes to that, and I don't think there is a particular option to link the token to certain PlayOnline IDs, so this really seems something you might have to contact the Customer Service for, via the Support Centre/Centre.

lllen,

That is rather out of date, as no account management is done via the PlayOnline viewer these days.

I've updated the article over at Gamer Escape (http://ffxi.gamerescape.com/wiki/Mog_Satchel) so that it's at least a little bit more helpful.

Edit:

Glad to see the bugger finally showed up. ^^

Thanks all for helping or trying to help! I had written an e-mail to support, but never got a reply, but like I said it popped up yesterday. So they might have ninja fixed it for me without getting back to me :)
