See how the max level we used to be was 75 and the npc could be 70 why not raise our npcs? Incoperate our npc's in some more quest so we can raise there level cap! Atm we are level 90... shoudlnt our npc be able to be 85? Cap it @ 95 when we are 99 even. I spent many times out soloing with my npc and this is yet another thing i think has been over looked in the new abby frenzy! Please bring back the lust to our npc fellows. Let us use them in abby where we could go out and solo better even would be another idea or various other places like sky or sea . This give more use for a rusting item that has been in alot of use in the past and i think needs some refinement and has been overlooked since the level cap increases.
1= To incoperate this I would still continue the same charts for xp that you have up for it, Expand a quest like pervious @70 ,75,80,85,90,95 a limit breat quest still needed for the npc.
2=Another tweak could be to utalize the npc bond system to a higher level continuing on the same path as before also including quests to continue to raise the bond you needed
3= Continue the weapon upgrade path where you can continue past your 7th weapon trade in skill up
4= with the new introduction of new armour you could also adjust the armour they wear past the 12th item on the chart on wikki also continuing that up also
5 more items could be added to the adventure fellow point system that you could get
6 incopreate the new /ja /ws and spells of the higher npc fellow
Basically the system you had for it was working it just been forshadowed and needs to be upgraded to reflect the higher levels of play now offered on FFXI
