View Full Version : Raise your npc level limit and use!

See how the max level we used to be was 75 and the npc could be 70 why not raise our npcs? Incoperate our npc's in some more quest so we can raise there level cap! Atm we are level 90... shoudlnt our npc be able to be 85? Cap it @ 95 when we are 99 even. I spent many times out soloing with my npc and this is yet another thing i think has been over looked in the new abby frenzy! Please bring back the lust to our npc fellows. Let us use them in abby where we could go out and solo better even would be another idea or various other places like sky or sea . This give more use for a rusting item that has been in alot of use in the past and i think needs some refinement and has been overlooked since the level cap increases.
1= To incoperate this I would still continue the same charts for xp that you have up for it, Expand a quest like pervious @70 ,75,80,85,90,95 a limit breat quest still needed for the npc.
2=Another tweak could be to utalize the npc bond system to a higher level continuing on the same path as before also including quests to continue to raise the bond you needed
3= Continue the weapon upgrade path where you can continue past your 7th weapon trade in skill up
4= with the new introduction of new armour you could also adjust the armour they wear past the 12th item on the chart on wikki also continuing that up also
5 more items could be added to the adventure fellow point system that you could get
6 incopreate the new /ja /ws and spells of the higher npc fellow
Basically the system you had for it was working it just been forshadowed and needs to be upgraded to reflect the higher levels of play now offered on FFXI

I agree firmly with this, i think it should have been done a lot sooner in fact. My Feliz has saved my silly arse on a number of occasions and i think he should be allowed to level along with me.

Fellowship NPC needs attention, totally support all your suggestions.

Fellowship NPCs should at least follow us to 90 (when we get to 99) and I agree on all the OPs points

Absolutely. It's funny that I logged in just to post this request and BAM here it is... thx Morgantisthedon for the post on this issue.

Yes, Devs, please adjust level limit and areas where you can call forth the Adventuring Fellow. THANK YOU! for considering this modification.... especially for those of us who tend to use jobs that are solo/duo -friendly.

Well I found a dev. tag where they had more than just my post on this. At the time I was unsure if they had one .... this was when posts where everywhere, but if you sroll down in the dev section there is one and they do plan on doing this and putting out statement about it this coming up week. (to bad I still cant find posts eazily even after they changed some there posting systems about this issue or others

I liked this OP's suggestion. There's been a few topics like this already made so there's definitely a majority of players that would probably want this implemented. Maybe if they do raise cap on fellows to 95 one day then allow us to call the NPCs in Abyssea to aid us and maybe make our atmas work on our NPC or pick separate atmas for them.

Also give refresh or auto-refresh to the healer npc, it's just ridiculous to see him out of mp after 2 cures.

Lv85 + Aht Urghan access... it's about time our NPC's forked over the cash for the expansion pack.

Old thread... but still on topic.
I spend much work these last weeks raising my NPC to the lvl 54 where it is... and how disappointed i was when i just learned today it will have to stop at lvl 70 :( (and so probably become half useless).

I 100% agree that SE should raise Fellow NPC lvl as they raised our own lvl.

What are you talking about? NPC level cap is at least 85 right now.

this is already in effect upto 85 and next updates increase cap further

they do need to enhance the AI and allow more spells hell if an automaton can learn 20+ new spells at least let a lvl 85+ should get more spells (healer)

Not a lot of spells at the healer's disposal though if they're modeled behind WHM. Automaton's learning a lot of spells, but that doesn't mean they have access to many at a time based on frame, head, and maneuvers.
