What to do

I'm not sure what to do. I just returned after a long break (i played a little but when SoA came out but not much) and I don't really know what to do. I don't see any leveling groups in the areas I knew used to level on books and nobody will reply to any of my shouts/yells (on Sylph server) and i''m completely stuck. I have a few jobs in the 40's and one at 50 right now but I don't know how to advance at all :(

Really unfortunate time to be not 99.

But, all you can really do is book solo, or have someone get you in an abyssea party. It's just the way things are now =/

Try to make friends, (with the 10 people who still play) and see if they can help you with level caps (50 55 60 65 etc).

I'm in a similar position, I've been soloing for months and my highest level job is only 45 (I'm hoping to reach 50 during the current double XP event - after which I plan on just begging random folks to help me with limit break quests). It's tough because I feel like I'm so far behind everyone else and I want to catch up but the progress throughout the entire game is as DRAMATICALLY INEFFICIENT AS POSSIBLE.

My main strategy? KEEP GRINDING IN EVERYTHING.
