Now, I'm not gonna be totally unreasonable here and say the accuracy cap should be done away with entirely, like some might. I just think that there should be no accuracy cap on anything that checks Too Weak. Maybe make it scale a bit too, so that it's something like:

Too Weak: no accuracy cap
Easy Prey: 99% cap
Decent Challenge: 98% cap
Even Match: 97% cap
Tough: 96% cap
Very/Incredibly Tough: 95% cap

It just seems pretty ridiculous that you will miss Too Weak mobs at least 5% of the time, no matter how much accuracy you have.

Perhaps, but at the other end of the scale they need to nerf evasion somewhat, although maybe just on NMs.

So often we need a 10-15 min repop NM to finish a popset, only to find a full pink dancer taking 40 minutes to solo it for no drops or key items. And he has floored evasion, even with a not very good evasion set. And of course they always refuse help.

Or maybe that's just me being bitter.

The 95% accuracy cap is one of those things that will just always be there, sure it's more annoying to those with single-hit WS (notably SAM), but SAMs whiffing Fudo amuses me somewhat.

The 95% acc works both ways aswell. Countless times I've survived certain death on a mage job by getting that lucky 5% proc.

It is sweet when an almost certain death move misses you (Medusa Javelin from AV, or Spike Flail from wyrms come to mind), but I'd gladly give that up to quit missing TWs. :p

What does it even matter? Missing 1/20 of the time on tooweak isn't exactly going to get you killed.

The 5% is there to account for being unlucky. Even the best sometimes make mistakes. Even the worst sometimes get lucky.
