Well like my case with Abyssea, I was so negative about SoA until the train started rolling and I managed to get on it. I gotta admit, the soundtrack playing in West Adoulin is by far my favorite track, and not to mention I do like how the cutscenes look, new animations keeping it fresh. Colonization reives I also got to do, fun stuff to be had ^^

I just wish the zones weren't so copy/paste, with many broken texture seams between blocks of land.
Marjami would have been a nice sight to see if we were able to look down into the lower parts of the land from above, but no, they walled everything off to prevent that because all the distant LOD geometry is full of cracks/gaps, which would be a sight for sore eyes. Instead have fun running up/down identical ramps.
But I guess it'd be unfair to expect the same level of quality from previous expansions given the crew running the game is tiny compared to old times, along with their budgets.

Yeah that's a good point, I did see the texture parts on some parts of Ceizak, but it's something that I've grown used to looking at...

Honestly i think SoA is the third best expansion so far, losing to Zilart and Cop. Still think WotG was horrible.

I enjoy Morimar Basalt Fields if only because it kind of feels wide-open, even though it's just as much a huge maze like the other areas. I love the view.
If I had to complain about something, it'd be the lack of music in all these areas. Why do they all have the same BGM? While it creates consistency, it detracts from the zone's uniqueness.

SOA areas and Adoulin city look great IMO, the quests and missions are fun and the CS's are nice. But a tree is always judged not by its looks, but by the quality of its fruit. And we got the tremendously flawed & dull Lolonization Rieve system and the sacrilegious and insulting delve weaps which make people with magians and rems feel like they are being punished for their hard work. So its swings and roundabouts, I personally really enjoying the SOA mission series and most of the areas though.
