My suggestion is for making it easier to switch automaton types faster. This will help ease the painful equipment change in the heat of battle. making a change to the automaton with the different head and once activated it saves attachments for that head. When you use use /ja Activate "Harlequin Head" it will bring up the last frame and attachments you saved for the Harequin Head that you saved. Also /ja "Deus Ex Automaton" "Harlequin Head". This saves from having to choose remove all and change heads and frames and attachments. This will save a huge amount of time for all Puppetmasters everywhere.


Harlequin Head; Sharpshot Head; Valoredge Head; Stormwaker Head; Soulsoother Head; Spiritreaver Head

I like your idea to attach attachments to the head, but the frame has a bigger elemental capacity than the head, so unless you're always using the same frame, the head = attachments idea won't work.

KorPoni it is not attacking stuff to the head. It is like saving the Frames and Attachments you last used when you used that Head. Like how the server remembers your gear that you wore when you were DNC after you changed from PUP provided you did not move the items out of your inventory. Since the PUP always have the attachments and Frames then you will never have to worry about re equipping them every time you need to change from Magic to Ranged to Cure a party member. If you just used the ability then it acts like it does now and just brings out the last automaton you had.

This would be wonderful instead of having to make sure ur in a safe place, unequip attachments, change heads/frames, reattach attachments and then call ur automation, it is really a time consuming process. Smn can resummon any avatar in seconds, bsts can set a change pot/call beast macro, why not make it easier on pup so we dont have to stop and reconfigure our lil gobot. Devs pay attn to this one!!!

your suggestion about the head is limited tho, I know its very rare to use head type with different frame (exception whm/blm heads), but if they want to implement such an idea, they have to think it through, the possibility of using any head/frame setups, what if someone wanted to use Valoredge head with Sharpshot frame? how the system is going to recognize such setup?

other than that the idea of saved attachments to allow faster switching between automatons is very welcomed.

The concept of keeping the automaton head as a constant with the frame body as a sort of attachment-macro piece is awesome.

So if u pull out the whm head/mage frame and go solo for hours on end, then head into an event where the VE head/SS body is needed, once you put that particular set-up, the saved attachments you previously had with it, will be the ones that the system will auto-fill in the attachment slots of the SS body. This idea would definitely work. I know many puppetmasters tend to use the same attachment set-up over and over and over again, because they have found efficient ways to deploy their automatons under certain conditions.

Yes, definitely a good idea worth the Dev's time to explore.

I understood his suggestion, the problem I'm trying to explain is that the head will be limited to only one combination, If say, you want to use Full Valoredge head/frame this time, you have to put it manually again, because the system saved Valoredge/Sharpshot combination. what I'm suggesting is a system that recognize all these combination (yes even the useless ones) and that is simply achieved by saving head/frame together.

Bhujerba yes if you wanted to create multiple head /frame setups then you would have to change the /ja activate to have the head and frame in the line and the system would have to remember more combinations. Reason to have the V head with the Mage body is to cure you and him while never standing back from a fight. I was going on the lines as head as main job and body as /job. Since we never have gear saved on the system based on /job. If they wanted to allow us to have that many database entries then I welcome having the head and fame in the /ja activate.
