The server I'm on is not a nice place to be. But before I quit again, I just wanted to try and see if there were any dualbox LSes or servers with people who don't have a stick up their ass about it. My characters are becoming really slick and Shiva does not deserve the fruits of my efforts because of the way they have treated me. Part of me wants to stick it out to spite all the haters but without anyone to play with the game is kind of pointless.

It wasn't when it merged with Titan, that's how I wound up on Shiva. lol

Yeah I think it died down though. I always hated it when people shouted Titan>Phoenix. Buy if you already left Phoenix because you didn't like the server then sorry to hear that. I know a lot of nice people like Zumi, Demonjustin, Bebekeke also posts on the forums.

I think that's why the environment was so hostile. But I'm not looking to go back without some heavy assurances that it's worth being there.

Yeah Phoenix has been pretty good. Haven't seen that much drama for awhile now. I mean its not a perfect server but we do have people. I've never had problems making groups.
Although lately VW shouts might be a little slow however there are certain times of the day it's pretty busy.
Japs and some of us group up for WoE around 10 am EST. My LS has been doing events and inviting lots of people to do Delve stuff.

I haven't even bothered to buy Aldouin because all shouts are R/E/M only and I'll never have any without people to help.

Hume: BLU, PLD (no ochain because no help), SMN, DRG, RDM(no mage gear because no help)
Taru: BLM, BRD, SMN, BST, SCH
Elvan: WAR, SAM, DRK, WHM
Mithra: THF, DNC, MNK, (and COR, RNG, NIN, PUP all no gear cause no help)

My suggestion is if you decide to buy Seekers of Adoulin you could join Delve parties and SoA NM hunts with WHM only until you earn enough Plasm and Kis to buy some Delve gear. Mages don't need REM and having Bayld gear is more than enough with AF3 to get you by. Just try to have Cure Potency gear. Some servers don't care, while some may require you to have capped potency 50%.
I see you have Summoner. You might wanna gear that up or Level Beastmaster to 99 because you can infact solo almost all seals.
Beastmaster/Bard seals can be obtained solo through Stearc Subligar Quest : Brygid the Stylist Strikes Back

With BST you can solo dynamis for relic armor for your RDM also solo all your +2's for every job.
I know people hate to hear someone tell you this but rather than depend on other people sitting in town all day you could make progress on your own. I had to do it too because no one wanted to help me with stuff like this.

Even Pup does well soloing seals etc.
There's also an article on Emp weapon trials and how you can get these done effeciently.

I only have WHM on one character. Even if there is stuff you can mail to yourself, that still only covers my elvan and taru.
I have been soloing a fair amount but the drop situation sucks without procing and the fights take forever.
All the guides in the world don't help the way people treat me. Once I get my gear I'm not doing much without other people anyway. Considering how much work I've already put in, it's not asking too much for a group to take me as i am and help me with whatever they need that isn't up to par. I honestly think it might just be time to put this one up for good if I haven't gotten where I need to be after 9 years.

Networking is important though, you can't expect people to help you unless they know you and know you've done stuff for them. Everyone in this game have a million things to do.
Most likely this is the reason nobody helps each other.
That's why I wrote that article.
It's like one of my friends said a long time ago, "You gotta know how to play the game"

We understand that it is stupid to ask someone to have a Delve weapon to do Delve or have someone make a weapon which takes months of work only to outdate it in a week. As such, we take whoever wants to join, and so long as you show your willing to work on your job and improve at the game, we have no problem accepting you to events even if you do not have the best of weapons. However, if you are lazy or ask for help but never give it in return, you will find yourself doing most things alone, as we will not assist those who are not willing to do the same for others. We want to help those players who are stuck in this game get past the barriers that the player base imposes on one another such as RMED requirements so that they can enjoy the game, but we also want them to be worth the help, not just someone who wants everything, but never helps others or can not use that which they are obtaining, such as wanting an Emp Harp to get into events such as Tojil, when you do not even play BRD, or know how.

The problem is that everyone I help does not have the capacity to help me or does not want to. I work my ass off for nothing. That is why it is time to quit or change.

Dual boxing is against the Terms of service isn't it? why is this thread even up...... Also the fruits of your efforts were done by circumventing the system... They are illegitamate and I wouldn't want to taste them even if you offered them. Good day sir :)

I don't think DBing is against the ToS... The closest thing I could find was this:
"2.1 Cheating and Botting. You may not create or use any cheats, bots, automation software, hacks, mods or any other unauthorized software designed to modify the Game and gameplay. In addition, you may not take advantage of game system bugs and exploits during gameplay." - Terms of Service
Unless I completely glazed over it... (mmmm... glazed donuts...) If that's the case, please point me in the direction that says it's against the ToS.

Well how do you tell the difference between someone running the game twice on the same computer vs someone playing 1 account on PC and another off Xbox360/Ps2?
You are still using 2 accounts both ways paying for both as well. And if someone is hacking that would mean they'd be smart enough to use something to make it look like they are running the game off 2 computers.
And how could SE do it without hacking into your computer and invading your privacy? To me it sounds like too much work to play Johnny Five O.

Thank you. It's something for me to consider but Aldouin + moving is around $100 so I'm not sure I'm able to do both in the same month. Would you want me to have it before or after I move?

This is correct. I learned to dual box on PS2. I use PS2 controllers connected to my PC and laptop with good macros for easy operation. No windower.

Would you want me to have it before or after I move?Sorry, it seems I was banned for 3 days because its apparently wrong to criticize SE on their own forums, specifically, I said how I did not like being lied to, and apparently stating that fact was so horrible, I had to be removed for 3 days.
In either case, I think you would be fine without it if you would want to move first. The LS is not fully in Adoulin, we still have some people working on things like Abyssea or VW, but the sooner you have Adoulin the better, as we are trying to get everyone to that level as soon as possible.

I asked the support center if my login points would carry over. The response I got said it was untested @_@ If I decide to move, it is going to be after Sept. 2nd with a whole bunch of Black Belt pop items.

I've thought about it for a while, and the Phoenix residents were the ones who started the problems with the "Phoenix > Titan" shouts. So unless more than 2 people are willing to tell me it's an OK place to go, i think I'll just play a different game.
On Bismarck nearly everyone is a dualboxer. You'd fit right in.
