Why is SE deleting some /lsmes I post in the linkshells? No one else is changing them and after I change the message it is gone in a few minutes. Like I make a /lsmes Happy Birthday Gaika And then after a few mins it says no linkshell message exists. I had this happen numerous times over the years. Why is SE deleting these messages?

OK, let's go over the basics, if only to eliminate the most likely causes:
By default, only the linkshell holder has the right to actually set an /lsmes. That right can be expanded to pearlsack holders or to all linkpearl holders, but the linkshell holder must make the deliberate action to do so. Do you actually have the right to set an /lsmes in the linkshell in question?
Anybody who has the right to set an /lsmes also has the right to run the "/lsmes clear" command, which erases the /lsmes entirely. Are you sure that nobody with /lsmes priveleges other than yourself is erasing what you set later on?

Yes I rights to post an /lsmes and I have done so in the past. I have had this happen in linkshells where I was both linkshell holder and also when I had a pearlsack. I have also had this happen when I was the only one in the ls and also when others havn't changed the /lsmes. It happens after a few mins after a post the /lsmes and I change this numerous times and its clears each time.

Well, it's a problem I've never experienced in however many years I've been setting /lsmes's and letting them sit for weeks. what exactly are you typing to set these messages?

I typed this Happy Birthday Gaika and tried to change it with periods and spaces and such and every time after a few mins said there is no linkshell message. When I first noticed this happening years before I thought it was censoring inappropriate messages but this latest one should be fine so dunno why its being cleared.

So you type:
/lsmes Happy Birthday Gaikia
and then later try
/lsmes and there is no message there?
And sometimes it sticks and sometimes it doesn't?

Yea I do the /lsmes and I see it listed for a few mins and then it is no longer there. No one else is changing this I mean I done this like a dozen times and every single time its gone in a few mins. I even had this happen in my own linkshell and no one was even in it to change it besides me.

There's no notification of a change when someone else does the changing. Unless nobody else with authority was in the linkshell for the entire time, the most you can really say is "Nobody admits changing it." What's "/lsmes level" set at? Does the /lsmes still magically disappear after going to your own linkshell and making sure you have "/lsmes level ls" set?

The /lsmes level is set to only linkshell or pearlsack holders may edit the linkshell group's welcome message. I doubt someone would keep clearing it after a dozen trys. Even going into my own ls when I am shell holder it disappears. I have the /lsmes Happy Birthday Gaika and that causes it to disappears after a few mins of appearing.
