Platform: Windows
ISP: ATT Uverse
Type of Internet Connection: Wireless
Internet Connection Speed: 54Mbps
Date & Time: Always
Frequency: Any time that I pass a spinescent protuberance with my avatar following me
Character Name: Edyth
Race: HumeF
World: Quetzalcoatl
Main Job: SMN Lv.99
Support Job: WHM
Area and Coordinates: Marjami Ravine, Dho Gates, every spinescent protuberance spawn point
Party or Solo: Solo
NPC Name: None
Monster Name: Spinescent Protuberance
Steps:
1. With an avatar out and following you, walk by a spinescent protuberance.
2. Your avatar will attack it for no reason.
I'm sure from a system perspective, it's because these protuberances are aggressive to true sound/sight, but that makes no sense. They can't move or attack, and absolutely no indication is given that you've "aggroed" this "monster" unless you have an avatar out. It is the functional equivalent of your avatar attacking logging points that you pass by (hypothetical comparison). It's an inconvenience with no purpose. Additionally, Pungent Fungi and Numbing Blossoms don't do this, so I wonder if this is even intended. If so, why?
