It was a long time ago that SE said, "We're working on it." Like most things, this too has never come to pass.
I would like to also ask, why not just allow the existing grips?

IDK DA +4% sounds very OP for a mnk....

or store tp +5 you could break the game very efficiently with current grips >_>... not that mnk breaks things anyways >_>

DA would boost damage a bit, but so far as I know, like most single handed DDs, STP means nothing.

But still, SE saaid they were working on "grips" for H2H. What happened to that?

Huh? Since when is getting to 100% tp faster ever not been good. Just because DW and h2h don't focus on hit builds (due to irregularity of multi-attacks) the STP is still getting these jobs to their next WS faster on average. This then equates to more DoT.

As far as these h2h grips, they're not really needed. MNK is a prime job for most endgame content right now due to their dmg coupled with survivability. There's many other things SE as stated as being in progress that hasn't been brougt back up in months or years. Caitsith really takes 4 years to make? Its low priority of course but its not like they had size issue like alexander (which was their excuse for that avatar's delay).

Also, part of why 1handed jobs don't use X-hits isn't only that, but STP has a very poor effect on 1handed weapons which give very little TP anyways. 1 STP is 1% of the TP you already gain, so when talking about something like Swords, which give about 5 TP per swing normally, you are talking about 2 STP for .1 TP, not enough of an effect to matter. I admit it boosts damage, but the amount is so minor to say its overpowered is a vast over-exaggeration I think.

DA would be somewhat overshadowed as we already have tons of Double Attack gear already, your just stacking more and more as time goes on, 2% more would not be game breaking either.

there is a grip with 4% on it :)

Right, Rose Grip, but still, on a weapon with low TP/Hit like a Sword you would be talking about .2 TP a hit, that's minor, if I was hitting at exactly 5 TP per hit before, for a 20 hit, I would get 104 TP in 20 hits now. I would still take 20 hits, the 4 extra TP would do very little for my DMG. I don't know the TP MNKs get per hit with the common best H2H around today, so I can not accurately gauge its effect on them, but I doubt they are getting much more than 5 TP a punch without Store TP, which means with STP they would get very little of a bonus all the same. In the end, its not an overpowering stat. The 2% Double Attack has more of a chance at being overpowered, and even then, how much Double Attack does a MNK normally have now days? 20% before traits? 2% more isn't a big deal to me, not enough to be 'overpowered' at least.
