Can someone please give some info on blu as a sub. I want to use Blu as a sub but am not sure if it would be a good idea. Any help would help

Are you a DRG or RDM?
If not, don't use it.

I've only used it as a sub when leveling low level jobs. It doesn't take long for it to be a poor choice.

It has some early cures and, for low levels, two minorly broken defensive buffs. Past PUP20, however, none of the damage spells are going to land for reliable damage, and the enfeebling proc rate will start to fall off dramatically.
Key question: why do you want to use /BLU?

BLU sux as a support job. BLU doesn't flourish till 40 for self skillchain (as main) and 60+ for DD. For PUP go for DNC (acc bonus), Drain Samba and cures. Either that or go for NIN sub to mitigate damage. Forget BLU, for low lvl you should even think /RDM for EN spells and others. But DNC is your best shot.

I can't tell you on a lot of jobs. But, I know from experience as a Chi Blast whore on Kirin, WHM gets slightly more mind. However, I haven't checked the stats since 75 MNK. Might have switched past that. I think the only two jobs mentioned were ones where people found it somewhat useful as a high level sub.
to be honest there is only one job that I think can really get a good use out of sub blu. On paladin I can max out my defense at 999 with sub blu. other than that "Maybe" drg/blu.

Nope, pretty pointless, I'm afraid, unless u are looking at a gimp healer setup.
For DD pup, go /drg, if u can get the cures and got wyvern earring.
War and of course Nin are ur other options.
For Nuke and cure pup, prolly /sch, or /whm at lower lvls.
/dnc is okish to help cure, but not the best imo.

only job that gets use out of /blu is drg but i perffer /sch my self.

yeah, BLU as a sub is really only useful for DRG, and even then we only really use it for Cocoon and HB trigger. Even then I prefer /RDM
I think the reason it gets the stat-ups as part of spell setting is because it's natural stats are slightly weaker than most jobs'
Plus, There are simply better subs for any role you intend to play
