Silly question, but with mog gardens being part of adoulin, why do we even have mog houses?

Been bugging me for a few days. I know that gardens released late, but it would seem smoother to me to enter the mh doorway and go directly to garden.

New town, people set their homepoints in Adoulin. Especially when popping bosses so they can respawn and run back vs waiting several minutes to unweaken.

Can change jobs, receive deliveries easier than waypoint back to Jeuno everytime.

There is already a thread about making direct entrance to the garden instead.

But really, why is there even a mog house, seriously. Direct to the garden would've made too much sense I guess.

I think I'm entitled to post. I've never used mog garden yet. I'm sure there's others like me, therefore new town, rather than go back to Jeuno everytime to change jobs and gear...how hard is that to understand?

You don't have to use mog garden if you don't want to.

I have to ask why a person wouldn't want to.. It's free junk = free gil, sometimes you get a really good goodie, and you get plenty of crystals which equal kinetic units.

The reason Plasicleg replied like he did is because clearly you don't know that mog gardens offer all the utility of any rent-a-room, basically excluding layout and traditional gardening.

What he doesn't know is that I haven't really been on the game lately to even use it yet. The point I'm making it wasn't implement that long ago I'm sure not every single person on the entire server has used it or has adjusted to using yet therefore mog house should still exist. It has its reason. I never rudely called out someone to stop posting.

I wonder how many of you noticed that mog garden can be used like a mog house ? ;)

Let me make sure I have this right. You haven't experienced the new content at all yet you still felt compelled to post about it. Is that about right?

On-topic: You can also craft in your Mog Garden (but not break clusters, which is a little irritating) and there's a shop where you can sell all the junk you don't want to keep.

It takes longer for the Mog Garden to load than the standard Rent-a-Room, and the standard Mog House functionality is closer to the top when speaking with the Moogle.

That said, I'd be in favor of being able to select Mog Garden as your default "homestead" when in Adoulin.

Hey, remember when we had to speak to an NPC in a foreign nation before you could use the Rent-a-Room? That really sucked...

Wasting time gardening for crystals doesnt sound better to me than just doing what i need to do in a rental room and GTFO'ing.

What else is there to do in mog gardens? Any thing worthwhle?

The moogle is also an NPC to sell your junk, and you don't have to touch the garden in any way at all.

Yup. When the title of the post says "Why does Adoulin even have mog houses?"

So if Scholar was the best and most powerful job in game, should I ask "Why even bother playing any other job?"

Point is, mog houses have been around since day 1. Some people may or may not have been to mog garden yet.

After reading a post like this. I think I'll stick with what I'm use to getting the job done..

It's kinda asking someone who live in their home for 10 years why they don't just get rid of it and move everybody over to the new apartment building instead?

I just drop all the junk I get anyway. Guess i have no real reason to do mog gardens then.

I don't know if it's just me, I prefer to npc because npc'ing is just easier and safer as you can't sell most the stuff you'd want to keep anyway.

There's no trick to mog gardens, no confusing mess, you talk to your moogle and bam. Not wanting to use it is one thing and that's fine, but people trying to say there's some kind of downside are really stretching.

Cons
Longer Load Times.
Less Familiar.
Cant move things around like furniture to personalize your island, yet.

Pros
Can get items daily for free.
Can NPC things.
Can craft/use Crystal Clusters after the next update.
Can do everything your Mog House does.
Gives you 1 free random item that seems to have high value pop items included.
May soon have Yells added to it if I remember correctly.
Can hire your own minions to do your work for you in your garden.
Its your own personal island!
Has an awesome small pet crab!

To me, pros > cons here.

Simple, this was trolling at it's very definition. Plasticleg dropped a rude comment that was meaningless to the rest of the thread, was commented on, and he never responded. I hate forums sometimes. RTFM is real welcoming. Idiots.

Seems like Mog Garden is too new. I mean a good portion of things SE implements take time to become better throughout future updates. That's why i wasn't so excited to jump on it although I did hear good things. I think I'll check it out later.

Still recovering from a loss of motivation to do stuff since SoA and the new direction it's been going.
