I know it's selfish, I know it sounds dumb, but what's the point of it by this point? People are getting super powerful weapons like candy, and yet when I try to get something outdated, the drop rate is just horrendous. I'm not talking about a few items, I'm talking all of the rare/ex stuff that drops from specific nm's, give them at least like a 30% increase, because some things will never drop and people get screwed out of hours of work.

H2H delve, people have weapons like this. Delve swords, delve GS/GK, I can keep going Umichi, I truly can. Every DRK I see they typically have Bereaver, or any MNK/PUP has those H2H.

These are the kinds of things that irk the crap out of me, you waste hours or even a whole day for a chance at a 7% chance at drop, only to continue repeating the cycle until you lose your mind.

There is a reason why drop rates are made to be time consuming. If every single player could get any rare item in 1 day, what next? Then the entire server will be complaining about wanting new items, new content. Although competing with 18 people per alliance doesn't help in a specific person getting an item, I think SE should adjust the drop system because I've seen many many many times 1 person getting all of the good drops than a fair distribution among everyone in the alliance.

The other day playing NNI, 1 player got every single drop vs the 5 others in party. How many times you see 1 person getting HMP multiple times doing Qilin? Or the same person getting 2 ogiers? Or 2 rubeus spats? Obviously there is a flaw in the drop system that SE needs to take a closer look.

Um most people did not get delve weapons as a drop. They earned plasm and bought it for 30k plasm.

Doing 4 plasm runs if your party can yield 9k each run is enough to buy 1 delve weapon which is about 4 hours.

Yeah Polearm, Bow, GK, H2H, Dagger, SMN staff, Miki Plate, Miki legs, Miki feet, SMN ammo. All bought from plasm farming. It took hours upon hours to get that. That's what? 275k plasm? Yes good parties can pull down a lot, but you usualy end up in an average party or 5k or worse. So I spent a good 60+ runs farming all of that which is 45hours of play time and that's just to buy them. Not to mention you need nearly 300k plasm just to max out one.(Or 10m.) So you're looking at an average of 66 runs per item, which is 49:30 hours. That's not including party building, transit times or attempts at obtain the KI in the first place. Personaly I went 1/18 on Tax'et. That all seems pretty comperable to me.

What SE realy needs to do is look at how all NMs are spawned. They've already proven that the can readily alter the conditions. I.e. The 3 HNMs. I think everything should be a forced pop, even if it's a fame based, one time quest item.

I was 1/137 spurrer beret, three years of killing the 16-minute placeholder for hours just for dark crystals, until this year it finally dropped. I wish I could say it was a fun but actually it was kind of depressing after 0/100.
I also know ppl who are 0/100 on Twi Mail, getting blue 75% of the time and TH9 every time. Some drops are just luck based coz I know other ppl who got Mail 1/1 with no proc. But for the ones who are 0/100 and farming a new primeval brew every time, its kind of soul destroying.

0/2000+ coruscanti. I don't have any reason to persue this any longer. Might as well get a delve dagger instead.

Edit: The amount of time it takes to build a party, Cruor spent on cells, chance of getting the dagger itself vs watching either someone who doesn't even need it or has gotten the dagger already to pulse it in your face. Sorry not even worth it. SE this is the biggest utter failure part of Voidwatch.

So it's fair that a mob is over 48 hours of waiting, then you go to camp and wait at most a full day, only to get nothing but khimaira horn/mane? If it was too easy I could understand, but the nm itself is still a tough customer today, why not up his drop rate, or hey I have an idea, decrease his respawn rate,

Edit: Sure it takes time and work to get a delve weapon, bu that's a guaranteed thing. These drops are not guaranteed, in fact they are miserable to the point that I just recently gave up on Khimaira altogether since I can just get Tourbillion from Nyzul, why not just stop hunting the sword altogether and never have to worry about wasting precious days of my life? Do you think anyone likes going through this kind of frustration? Making LS friends come out, waste their hours only to turn up nothing? I'm sorry but that's just stupid and I really feel something needs to be done to promote people coming back to old content.

With the new exspansion there really is no need for the horrible drop rates in the old system. It's why I won't do void watch anymore.

I agree with both of you.

If its something like Neckchopper or Mycophile Cuffs, both great items for their level but rarely gotten anymore due to leveling speed and amount of time it can take to get them. They could use a nice boost to their drop rates, and in the case of the cuffs maybe even having the EX removed now. Doing something like this might help with having more low level gear on the AH as well, in case larger numbers of newer players does occur.

If it was an item like them, but intended for current endgame use, yes the drop rate or whatever method of obtainment used should be much lower. However, once they get bumped into nothing more than a stepping stone item, they should gradually become easier to obtain depending on how far they get away from the top of the gear ladder.

So really the drop rates for items should be based more on how permanent an item is, instead of just being set low and kept that way for the sake of time sinks. Moldavite earring is a good example of an older item I would not adjust its current drop rate on, because it is one of those more permanent items as only a handful of earrings that fill the same role and slot better.

Sad, not on our server. Barely see that many VW shouts anymore. And when I do see a shout, the person making the party is usually stuck at 5-10 people for more than 2 hours.

Those two are the only relevant shouts anymore. Too bad when they update R/M/Es after another decade, empyreans will be impossible to finish do to the inability to obtain any of the neccissary items.

Lol my Taru is usually parked in town all day with bazaar up. Lost motivation to do stuff so yeah that's why I'm in town most of the day.

Yesterday morning I saw a JP shouting for 3 hours VW 11/18.

3 hours. I took a shower, went out to eat, came back and still shouting.

lol I'd like to have a Ridil, I mean the Sweet Tea should be a low drop rate, but Ridil would be a nice thing to have since we got wines coming out of our ears right now ^^;
