Sell us Special Items?

I've been wanting these items everytime I pass someone wearing them, however when I came back to FFXI and purchased Abyssea Expansion, the only Ultimate Pack my local Gamestop stores had available were outdated. Horribly some of the staff didn't even know FFXI was an MMORPG and some had no idea what FFXI was except only knowing XIII being that was the latest for Playstation. In fact management told me they didn't even know if the game was still active. Therefore this was the reason I had to buy Abyssea download through SE website.

Now I don't live out in the valley of no name ghost town deserted oasis anthrax island population minus tree bushes mountain vulture dead armadillo skeleton covered in dry dirt possible water fountain hovering up ahead hallucinating weight loss thinner than a toothpick oh you get the point...

Moogle cap was an award given at Tokyo Game show September and October 2007..
And well the rest i think I read they are now available with Seekers of Adoulin Ultimate pack.

As much as I would like these items, i have absolutely no need to rebuy the ultimate pack because what would I ever do? I have no need to activate and pay for a new account, no friends interested in playing FFXI and to me it would be just a waste.

However SE it would be nice if you could offer to sell the code for these items in the online store. Personally I would pay to have these even if I don't need Destrier beret. Just for the sake of having them as a fan. If there is a problem with how many items are on the server, you could limit a 1 time purchase for each item.

At anyrate, I know moogle cap was only limited to a fixed amount maybe 3,000 key chains? Which all of NA players that did not go to Japan and buy the key chain were flat out of luck. Unless I missed something. So SE would it possible?

Hmmm can't feel as bad as us who couldn't fly to Japan and buy the keychain ourselves. And then fret over it for the past 6 years...

And this day in age items were meant to last for a short time only to have them replaced with something better :0 SoA already proved that...

What sort of value? If it's monetary value then SE decides that. They own every bit (pun intended) of the digital content of FFXI including your character and all of its items.

If it's emotional value then feel free to make your case as to why your feelings are more important than someone else.

my problem with these items minus the collection items is that if i don't travel to america or japan i'll never get them, also even if i wanted to i couldn't even buy the items from the shop since they don't ship to canada.

To me this just screams favoritism towards set nations and even though this game is played world wide to limit exclusive items to certain nations isn't exactly a good way to get business. Maybe if they allow you to trade in something in game like 10k crystals or something then you can exchange for these items.

eh true I wish SE did a better job producing this game theres alot of glaring flaws... but I still don't think they should be freely available to be purchased... they are meant to be obtained a specific way in order to get the item...

I've said this before, but SE is missing out on a ton of potential revenue by not having a vanity shop.

Even just letting us be able to do cosmetic changes to our character (face, race, gender change) would net them a pretty penny.
