New Elemental Adjustment Post Update
Hey Guys,
After the update, what are you all experiencing from this new adjustment?
In my opinion, some of the spell casting is too fast for gear swaps as Red Mage therefore im assuming this is eliminating the need for using fast cast gear. Which can be good, but if you are already using fast cast gear for other spells that were not included in the adjustment, the issue would be balancing out macro sets between the spells that you use for fast cast vs the spells you don't. I can't imagine standing idle in only MAB set the entire time will be applied by others.
Because of spells casting faster, during gear swap, Spell will go off before your sprite reappears. Therefore you won't see the spell itself.
Before this update my Tier IV Thunder spell was doing 1,900 ish on mobs in Adoulin. Now it does 2,100ish. Which is about 300 more damage. Could be good but vs the MP cost. It seems a bit expensive to deplete MP faster vs recovery time.
Although I am still fooling around with the new adjustment, what's everyone else's take?

First Test Example
With Creme Puff + Gain INT
Enhancing 500+ giving +25 INT
I'm able to reach a total of
INT 107+111
Magic Attack Bonus 114
Elemental Magic 394
Magic Critical 10%
Target Monster: Fernfelling Chapuli
Thunder IV
2466 DMG
2567 DMG
2466 DMG
2466 DMG
2466 DMG
Last time I casted and got 2300ish was without Creme Puff. Zero Merits on Thunder Elemental.
Blizzard IV
2420 DMG
2420 DMG
2420 DMG
2519 DMG
2420 DMG
Merit LVL 5 Ice Elemental
And regardless of what armor you are wearing, Swapping to MAB does not allow you to see the spell. Casting is too fast to swap is the reason.

Anyone else test out new adjustments want to leave your thought?

Well I'm not sure how this is going to work out in fast pace environment where you are switching Gearsets. I've tried several times to switch over to MaB while casting Tier IV spells and the spell goes off too fast to see it.
Might be ok to idle MAB set but definitely not for swapping.

Job = RDM/SCH
Target = Fluffy Sheep
Elemental Skill = 408
INT = 90+84
Magic Attack Bonus = 28+104
Stone I - 336 Normal/350 Crit
Stone II - 742 Normal/774 Crit
Stone III - 1172 Normal/1222 Crit
Stone IV - 1837 Normal/1915 Crit
For T3+ I can still use my Fast Cast gear, but the delay between starting to cast & swapping has to be near instant because the cast time ends up being 1.2 seconds. T4s are a little more relaxed. T1~2 I see no reason to use any Fast Cast gear for pre-cast as you will likely lower your damage, and on RDM or BLM you have -50% Cast time in your nuking gear anyways if not more most likely so chances are, your casting in .25~1.5 seconds anyways.

I'm having similar experiences with my fast cast sets on SCH. Basically, I'm only using precast on T3 and above now. Not really too big a deal, just took a few minutes to get accustomed to it.
Otherwise, I'm having fun with the spells. I've been focusing on Stone spells so far. I've got 135 MaB and 111+111 int (and no, I didn't plan that lol) with cream puffs. On Chapulis I'm hitting 3924 Stone V and 1128 Stone II with obi+twilight+klimaform (af3+2) and dusty weather on a neutral day. Spamming stone II every couple seconds for quadruple digit damage is amazing, and also extremely easy on the ole MP supply.
But besides soloing a few mobs outside of town, I don't have much else to say just yet.

I believe the main point of these changes was to make Stone do decent dmg which it does for less MP so its more efficient. and thunder do more dmg for lots of mp so its not efficient but more dmg of course. I like the idea of more balance. and i def like the fact that utilizing a elemental weakness of a mob will actually work, instead of how it was before where something weak to stone will only take 50 dmg cause stone sucks so u mine as well use thunder!
I just dont get changin the recast of AM tier 1 from 45 to 60, thats not how i remembered seeing in their charts before and will make it more frustrating now when u tryin to proc in abby and now have to wait a full minute to retry tornado cause the mob jsut had to use a move just as it landed.

I noticed blizzard t1 casting instantly on sch in fast cast gear, so I thought that was awesome. It's not a big deal though if my gear doesn't change to mab set for t1-t2 as when I use those spells I am usually not trying to kill anything with them.
