I would like a dev confimation.
Do we simply have to login, or do we have to talk to an NPC at any point during it to activate and/or obtain said points?

id also like to add. if im logged in when the day changes do i really need to log out and log back in to get my points? or do i get the points for being logged in? like if im playing in the morning play all afternoon but fail to log out and log in do i lose the points?

Each day (Earth time) that you log in to FINAL FANTASY XI during the campaign, we will reward you with special points that may be traded in for specific in-game items!
* Login point totals will be calculated separately for each character.

Simple right? Just login once per real life day.SE is known for leaving out details until the last second. Some of use don't want to miss out on anything because of SE oversight.

Because that's just how things work for this. If you want free stuff, logging in and out is not a deal breaker, in fact that's kinda disturbing that you would make a complaint on that...

I would assume that is how it works, I don't think you have to shutdown to log into each character.

I personally would find it more annoying to stop whatever I was doing (abandon Prowess buffs, etc.) and scramble to get back to a particular NPC once a day.

do it on a mule and hope the rewards are transferable to your main.

See you have to look at it from the other direction. It's not about logging out, it's about getting people to log in to play the game.

Personally it's just a few button presses to log out then back in. Also you don't lose prowess buffs as long as you don't zone out of wherever it is you're receiving those buffs. 4k points = four beastly shanks, is that really not worth it? Of even an egg, a wine, and a shank. That's a whole black belt for MNK's. that's really sad that they offer items like that and yet people are complaining about logging out then back in. It will not kill you to take 1-2 minutes to do it.

Over 10, if not 20 Chlevniks and a few King Behemoths think otherwise. :b

(I still never saw a tongue; the person I was doing them for got it without me in the end... And I still need 1 or 2 belts for me. Yeah, like that will ever happen! Not without 50 log-in campaigns since I have no seals or gil to do the battle etc., etc.!)

I'm not quite sure if they are saying that one has to log out from just the game, or PlayOnline altogether. I'd guess logging out to the character selection screen is going to be enough.

Luckily for those who it might touch upon, one can check with the Greeter Moogle(s) to make sure!

Personally, I log out when I'm not playing, and I wish people in general would do that often. Maybe that would alleviate the stress on servers, and we could have nice things. ^^;

Breaking news: Everyone in Europe plays at the exact same times, and no one else in the world plays at those times.
