View Full Version : Repeat Login Campaign: Please lessen the cost of the Chocobo Masque +1

There's a number of things people might want to obtain from this, such as Ark weapons, or that other sheet of Adoulin music for their orchestrion. But any character who wants to get a chocobo masque +1 is not going to be able to obtain most of those things, because the 4k point cost leaves them with less than 500 potential points to spend (a total maximum possible of 4400 points, with 21 logins)

In my opinion, the masque and masque +1 should just be automatically rewarded after the 10th and 20th logins respectively. Alternatively, the 2000-point category should be scrapped and all of its items moved to the 1000-point category.

I really don't think there's any need to be so uptight with the rewards on this. It's not like you're offering Mog Bonanza-level prizes, here.

So am I seeing that there's no level or pregression requirments for this? A level 1 mule character can recieve these points and items?

I plan to skip the choco hat in favor of other items. It's just a 20 hour 1/1 warp nation hat. Big deal in this day and age. If it were 1 hour or a few hours then we might be talking.

Of course it'll just mean the choco suit will have 25% movement speed when wearing the damn choco hat, just to spite my decision.

If you want more items then create more mules. Ark weapons can be sent within same pole account.

Well SE, I guess you're getting more money out of me... So much for turning off those bonanza mules. I wonder if I can actualy get that adamantoise egg off of the 118 blue pond weeds...(Less 2 arc scythes.)
Killing 30 in a day is going to be annoying. Can you take the rare stamp off of them to make it easier?

If you want the masque +1 on your mules too, that doesn't really solve the problem.

I do not think "get more mules" should be the solution here, regardless. If these were like, actually valuable items, then I could see the logic in us doing + them subtly encouraging such a practice. But mostly, these are just event/novelty items. Again, I don't really see a reason for them to be uptight with dispensing them.

More mules IS the answer. The Moogle Suit/Masque is account transferable, so the Chocobo Suit/Masque will probably be as well. Why would you deck ALL your mules out in the same gear? It's much nicer to deck them out in different wonky gear sets. You don't see many mules with the MMM set, for example... that shovel looks seriously weird :D
If you just want to gear up your mannequins, you only need the NQ.

I don't care if it is or not; I'm saying it shouldn't be. The masque +1 should not be eating up nearly all of the potential points a character can obtain during this event. That's just bad design.

Bro they are giving you free items just for logging into the game... You give people something for basically free and they still manage to find a way to have something to complain about, just lol.

Your argument would have a point if these were valuable, expensive items. They aren't.

I don't see why we should be able to buy virtually none of the other prizes if we want the one new unique thing that this event offers. It practically defeats the purpose of offering all those 500/1000/2000 point items, unless you don't care about obtaining the masque +1 (and surprise surprise, most people who care about event/trinket items like what this event offers WILL probably care about obtaining that)

Welcome to any gaming forum that ever has and ever will be created :D

Don't you miss the days were devs would say "here you go" and you liked it solely because you were happy to be acknowledged at all and you were happy with it no matter how small or insignificant it was. Being a gaming dev has to be the most thankless job in existence

I was going to create a similar topic myself when they first released the info, but I was quite sure someone else would do it soon enough... yer, me lazy!
It's probably too late for them to change things around at this point, but it's no reason to stay quiet about it. I am glad to see that it's not just me who isn't jumping in glee.

It truly is quite the horrible event for an indecisive collector (like me).

Not only do I want the Chocobo hat (a must-have for a silly—hat lad, one would definitely say), I very much want an Ark weapon or few. Luckily, those can (at least for the time being) be delivered to other characters within a PlayOnline account. That shouldn't be the way to do it.

“Mules” should not have ever been a thing (not talking about M.U.L.E., that's a great thing!), but of course, it's too late at this point, at this game.

I would not mind the Shank with Wine at the Pondweed, but I seriously have no luck with those monsters whatsoever, so they're going to be gladly disregarded, and I'll have my wine elsewhere. \ö/

Contest page says the chocobo masque and the +1 are NOT sendable to characters on the same account. Also, since the Nomad Moogle Rod has a 50/50 uses on it, it also cannot be sent via the delivery system to your mules (I tried sending my nomad moogle rod, but it couldn't be sent.) Ark weapons are sendable though (I got mine with a mule during bonanza and sent it to my main.)

Yeah, it's quite horrible!

I don't get this sort of stuff. I mean, it's supposed to make us happy and feel appreciated, right? In truth, however, this kind of stuff has the opposite effect.

For a while, I was glad. Was thinking I can just use my storage characters and send them Ark weapons over, but then I remembered that moogle stick!
Urgh... And now I want a statue, too, because I didn't remember the Shadow Lord II requiring so many other statues and instead, used all my moogle balls marbles into something other than that. Luckily, I had some extra ones, so I only need one to complete the set again (good thing I don't have the Atomos statue; I would need two of those then, too!).

In short, it really makes me wonder the reason as to why vanity and/or collector items such as the chocobo suit and the moogle stick should be so difficult to get. This kind of an event feels like an evil tease at its best worst way.

Nevertheless, I do appreciate the event existing in the first place, thank you for that, but I do not agree with how it was implemented.

Mirage

Even if you do that, you lose the potential profit fromy our main. It essentially means that an event item costs 3 million gil, instead of an event item having no gil value at all, which is how things have worked in earlier events.

Renaissance2K
07-18-2013, 12:03 AM
The value of the pop items throughout the course of the event is going to plummet, most likely, so the practical loss is probably much less than that.

That's what she said... When moogle cap came out..

Although my JP LS uses moogle cap after every event, Dyna, Einherjar, Limbus etc. Pretty convenient in my opinion. Especially if you are warping the entire party.

* Enchant: Warp can only be used to travel to areas that have previously been visited, and teleports party members as well.

Btw If you stayed logged on does that mean you do not qualify for login points until you relog?

Edit: nvm found it.

* If you receive login points for a particular day and remain logged in until the next reset (8:00 a.m. (PDT)), you will not automatically receive login points for that next reset. You must log out first and then log back in to receive those points.
* Login point totals will be calculated separately for each character.

Actually if you zone, you'll get your points. They never updated the post.

I'm just wishing the Kupon O was a 300-point item so I could get it on my main since I only got one rank 5 marble on her... :( (or sendable via delivery box! WHY DID YOU DO THIS SE)

Available for the first time during this campaign, and for only 2,000 points, is the chocobo masque!
If you exchange two chocobo masques at a total of 4,000 points for logging in twenty times, you will be able to synergize them to create a chocobo masque +1 if you have attained the rank of apprentice.
* Enchant: Warp can only be used to travel to areas that have previously been visited, and teleports party members as well.
* The chocobo masque is one of two pieces in a set, and is equipped in the head slot. The accompanying chocobo suit is scheduled to be introduced in Repeat Login Campaign No. 2. The masque, however, is only scheduled to be available for this first event, so don’t miss out!
* The chocobo masque and chocobo masque +1 may not be delivered to different characters on the same account.

I'm bummed out.. Login currently at 17. And tomorrow is the last day. No Chocobo mask +1 for me haha... Good game.

And yes I have a life, I work, couldn't login everyday if I wanted to. SE should reanalyze it's player base. Many of us are in fact responsible adults who don't have all the time in the world as we once did living under mommy and daddy's roof.

Rent and bills coming in 2 days. That's more important than having 21 days to participate in this event. Guess that's life.
