Hello everyone,
it's me again (Fenrir's_Takumi) and i intend to do 20 thread on AF weapon modification, let me know what you think. My first Idea was the Maurauder's Knife.

Tired of Having this Dull Axe in storage, or in your mog house but don't want to throw it away?
well let's make a new trial out of our own AFv1 Weapon.
Razor Axe >> Ambusher's Axe
Current Stats

Razor Axe (1-H Axe)
DMG:31 Delay:276 STR+2 DEX+2
Ending Stats

Ambusher's Axe (1-H Axe)
DMG:48 Delay:276 STR+4 DEX+4

So here's the Twist.

Dude i really liked your idea. Seems Realistism.
Like my last 4 idea for trial for Marauder's Knife.
i will make 4 trial, only 2 out of 4 of these trial will be acquirable. When the trial is done. You won't be able to get a new AFv1 Axe(WAR AFv1). Unless For some reason you throw it away :o.
Trial idea #1 : Greatly Enhance Warcry Effect (Enhances 10% more to Party Members..
... within Area of Effect)
Trial idea #2 : Acc +10 Atk +10
Trial Idea #3 : Enhance Defense Bonus upon Provoke. (When you provoke Defense
Bonus will be grealy enhance.)
Trial Idea #4 : New Weapon Skill For War ONLY
"Divine Blow"
"3-hit attack, Dia's Accuracy varies with TP."
Again, these are only ideas, if anyone want to help Elaborate it more.
i think it will be awesome.

Wooo, My Imagination is appreciated for once!
While i like to maintain a safe distance from my Ideas, Since i know realistically SE will never add any of my ideas, and my distance keeps me from being disappointed. Speculation and imagination is fun. So Allow me to expand on yer IDEAS. In a way. Since its fun to think. (Also, It might be a good idea to make 1 "Mega Thread" On the Upgrading AF weapons. People can be mean when it comes to spam :P so be careful how much you post!)
Anyway, On your ideas.... (The unique Weaponskill one feels like a Empyrean, But i'll do it anyway o-o)
(This one seems Insane, But if you think about it you can team up with Other WARs, Warcry is AoE, it'll greatly promote team play for this)
Trial 1 (Path A). Level 70-80
Task: Weaponskill 200 Times with Warcry Active.
Family: Any.
Reward: Razor Axe +1(80)
DMG:62 Delay 288 STR+6 DEX+6
Enhances "Warcry" Effect (+5% to Attack, Also +20 more TP if you have Savagery Merited)
Trial 2 (A): Level 80~90
Task: Weaponskill 300 times with Warcry Active
Family: Any
Reward; Warmonger's Axe (90)
DMG:68 STR+8 DEX+8
Enhances "Warcry" Effect (+10% Attack, +40TP Bonus *With Savagery)
Trial 1.B: (Provoke/Def bonus one)
Task: Defeat 200 of Target Mob with Defender Active
Family: Any.
Reward: Razor Axe +1
DMG:62 Delay 288 STR+6 DEX+6
Augments "Provoke" (Grants 5%DT. Duration 30sec)
Trial2(B): 80~90
Task: Defeat 400 Enemies with Defender Active.
Target: Any.
Reward: Stalwart's Axe (90)
DMG:66 Delay:300 STR+7 VIT+7
Augment's "Provoke" (adds 10% DT on provoke, dur. 30 sec)
Trial 1(C). 70~80
Task: Defeat 300 Enemies with Set Weaponskill.
WS: Rampage
Reward: Razor Axe +1
DMG:62 Delay 288 STR+6 DEX+6
Trial 2(C): 80~90
Task: Defeat 400 Enemies with designated Weaponskill
WS: Decimation.
Reward: Ravager's Axe
DMG:67 Delay:300 STR+8 DEX+8
"Divine Blow"
Trial 1(D): 70~80
Task: Defeat 500 Enemies of the Raptor Family
No additional Info-----
Reward; Razor Axe +1
DMG:62 Delay 288 STR+6 DEX+6
Accuracy +5 Attack+5
Trial 2(D): 80~90
Defeat 600 Enemies of the Bird Family

Theres your trial Ideas. I like how your ideas enhanced certain aspects of the WAR job, Tanking, DD, Support effects (Warcry) and well, more DD.
Also Again, I would go to "Suggestions" and make one big Super thread :) Neatly Bundle it all in one area so no one gets too upset with you.

how about instead of under warcry and enhancing warcry, it does beserk instead since it lasts signifigantly longer than 30 secs which warcry is active for, sounds more balanced to me, but what do you think Karb?

To be honest with you i try to promote more job ability from lower levers such as Steal, Boost, Provoke, and job trait. Warcry seemed just right. At First i wanted to go with.. Increase Enmity from warcry effect. but i want war to be a team player so... there ya have it ^^
And one of the main reason i wanted to Enhance Provoke with def. Bonus. is hmm i want WAR to be able not to die as tank 1H or 2H.

Nice idea, as was the THF thread, however I'm very miffed they made WAR's AF weapon an Axe. I don't think I'd ever use it in the end, which is a shame.
- i'd put enhance warcry duration instead of effect
- trial 4: augments berserk effect: +5% attack aura (pt member in aura range get +5%att)

I honestly think warrior needs a low delay axe.
This one should be like 150 delay occasionally attacks 2-8 times with damage 87 and additional effect death with high chance of proc.
Kraken club needs to be replaced by something better, everything else has been!

Dude... 87 dmg is even higher than Farsha (74d) and Guttler (76d). 87 is just ridiculous.

why dont they just change some of the AF weapons razor axe should be a G axe thats just my thought. but other af weapons suck blm casting wand = craptastic there are a few decent af weapons for the levels but some just need full mods

I always thought it was really odd WAR got an Axe instead of a Great Axe, I really question the reasoning behind that. Especially since BST got an Axe as well.
Also, I was only enhancing his Ideas :) My own would be slightly different. Probably an Enhancement to Berserk that increases its Attack>Def Spread by another 5%, Warcry seemed like a nice idea, Maybe the final axe could increase duration 30 seconds, make it a 1 minute ability. in the same vain it could also add to Blood Rage, since it and Warcry are the same style (AoE, 30 sec, Do not stack with eachother)

Isn't BLM's "89" Weapon (every job got a new 89 weapon the last update, Triplus Dagger, Widowmaker, etc) a Scythe lol?
Its funny >.>, SE knows theres no staff that will beat the trial staves, So instead of giving BLM a Staff they'll never see, they give them a Scythe they might put on now and again just for the fun of it >.>;

yea it is.. and on kick ass Scythe aswell, but.. one problem... BLM do not have awesome scythe skill...

well ya, blm got a scythe but i was making a point on FFXI not being original with AF1 weapon lol
