im just wondering why fire weather is rare in Ifrit's Cauldron its a volcano right so you would think it almost always has fire weather no mater what the area around it might have

it's also rare in the desert, in halvung (which has rivers of lava everywhere), sundrenched beaches, etc. but yes, the volcano IS the biggest "oops".

The constant rain weather in the zone protects you from overheating in the lack of "hot" weather in the zone, of course.

Just jump in the lava lake if the weather isn't hot enough for you :D
But really, you want to do weather trials in the correct season, and the monsoon season is generally not the best time to look for heatwaves.

then why if both regions that its connected to have not seen rain/wind or anything just sunshine for 5+ consecutive gamed days does the volcano not heat up with all the lava pits and fountains all over the place

Weather forecast (http://ff11info.com/bazaar/en/weather.php)
You should be able to find some fire weather in Altepa, but it's sparse. Next ingame month should see occasional fire weather in the Jungles (and IC).

This topic has come up many times. At some point someone is gonna come in and explain how fire weather is really common if you log in at midnight 10 weeks from now. If se were gonna change it, they probably would've already. Since it appears that TotM isnt gonna be continued, I seriously doubt they are gonna change it now. It sucks, but them's the breaks.

The weather site is missing newer zones, and it wouldn't surprise me if one of the unreleased zones in SoA is going to be a Death Valley type of desert (or at least sports fire weather).

Morimar Basalt Fields is located in a sleeping vulcano with an active magma chamber, and vulcanos don't have to lie in the tropics :D If there is a desert-like area (so fire and earth weather), it's probably sporting the earth Naakual.
