I was doing VNM T3 in Abyssea Grauberg and I believe this is a bug about resting.

I had poped the T3 and the whm, who was resting was drawn in. Maere proceeded to do nightmare, and killed the whm and then depoped. The WHM did no action upon Maere, the only thing they were doing was resting FAR from where I had poped Maere. I do not think this is fair, if this is an unforseen consequence from the recent change that players gain hate while resting X distance from the mob. They were resting out of sight distance of the mob and were drawn in.

Pop Maere while WHM was resting at a distance that is beyond sight range, south of where the observers pop in Abyssea Grauberg.

WHM was then drawn in to Maere, having performed no offensive actions, only resting.

Resting generates enmity. This has been a mechanic of the game for the longest time.

I'm pretty sure I read that this mob draws people in regardless of hate or location as part of it's design.
