A lot has changed in XI since I last played last year. Right when I quit they was about to bring the level cap up to 80 I think, can't exactly remember. But anyways, a lot has changed. My highest job is a 65 Dancer I think, I know I was about to do the 2nd level break. Any really big significant changes I should know about? I've been trying to read up but seems like so much has changed. Is dynamis and sky worth doing anymore? What all level limits has been took away? I think COP has no limit now. Any info would greatly help ^_^

Nothing in CoP ZM or rank missions is capped anymore, level cap is 90, exp parties don't exist anymore (you go to abyssea and you'll be level 90 in a few hours) Sky is dead Dynamis is rarely done..

You get double the xp from normal mobs now (non abyssea areas), and you can spam FOV pages back to back now too (no more waiting for new gameday to repeat for the xp, but you still only get the gil/tabs reward once per day). Skillups have increased dramatically--can now skillup on mobs DC to your current skill cap level, and if the Martial Master Kupower is up, they come very steady now--even Parry and Guard improved.

You can effectively solo/lowman your way to to 30 in just 3 or 4 spots via FOV spamming, then leech your way via abyssea provided you are able to get your limit breaks unlocked. Unless you want to stay in aby areas and grab skillups and farm drops along the way. I did it the old way for all but 1 job, and it will still take a few weeks to a month to hit 75 the old way, but it is considerably better in comparison.

lol.. never really thought about it, but exp'ing now does kinda feel like you're on auto-pilot now... glad I'm almost done with it myself...11 more levels worth to cap off a handful of jobs so they are in auto-merit mode and I can start to actually PLAY the game again.

Well if leveling is so easy now, maybe I can get some jobs up in lvl and start to do some stuff in the game. Like ranks and finish up some of the expansion packs. I haven't finished any and I"m only rank 5 in sandy. Anything special u have to do to get to abyssea? I know it's an add-on so I gotta get that.

Testy farming and beating Maat will be your biggest challenge.

It was easy on PLD i didn't even need to 2hr.
On WHM Maat stopped to cast Aquaveil then a few seconds later the 5 minute timer was up and i won.
