Has anyone done any formal testing on the -evasion value on Infrasonic? It seems to be extremely potent.
Was playing around with lizard in the Ceizak Battlegrounds, using up some jugs I had in storage since.... forever when I noticed that lizard's infrasonic seemed to be lowering evasion by a lot. Every Monster I tried it on conned Low Evasion even if I equipped a sword in main hand.(Bst has an E rating in sword)
Equipped with a sword and 109 Acc from Gear, a Frenzied Mantis cons Tough+High Defense but if I remove all my gear (except sword) and use infrasonic, the Frenzied Mantis cons low evasion. Would this mean that Infrasonic lowers evasion by a value even greater than -109?
I hopped onto the test server to see if it would stick on the force pop delve NMs. Sadly even with Pet Mag. Acc+32 from trial axes I went 1/7 on the Delve Scorpion.
Is there anyway to make this ability more reliable, would make lizard pretty useful.

It is a massive evasion down, I am not sure what would be needed to make sure or have better chance for it to land. Maybe by lowering the mobs resistance to ice from BRD and NIN. It's supposed to be something like -25% evasion.

Well in that case I hope one of the new delve pets will be an upgraded lizard with very high magic accuracy because having a pet with a potent -evasion effect for 3 mins would pretty much cement BST in a lot of delve content even if the pet itself isn't much to brag about.

Hey now, we can't risk BST actually being useful in party play, can we?

How will you ever get an invite into any party events? Especially since there's only 21 other jobs to choose from that actually might be useful.
There are plenty of jobs that are much worse off than BST, and those jobs don't have a niche where they are actually very good.

There are plenty of jobs that are much worse off than BST,
Like what? Except for RUN (because it's a 2 month old infant) every job is very useful in a wide array of events. Every other job is useful in Delve. Hell even "useless" jobs like THF and SMN, get invited to Delve to pull and put up TH/Feint/PD. Every job except BST, which I can't even take into delve when I'm leading the group, because everyone disbands as soon as they realize I've left town without switching jobs.
and those jobs don't have a niche where they are actually very good.
What's that niche? Because BST is my main, and literally every event is better done as a different job. I have to make a conscious choice to be crappier at whatever I'm doing, just to play the job I most enjoy.
If you say Dynamis, you're just admitting you haven't played the game in 2 years, because BST was always inferior there to BLU and PUP and DNC/THF, and that was before we lost pet TH. And it's really terrible at it now, since you have to spend a large chunk of your earnings on jugs/pet food, while a PUP gets more currency, faster, safer, with white procs, and an untouchable, level 120, alternator fueled, free, badass puppet.

Jobs I've never seen get invited to plasm farms: Smn Blm Geo Rng Nin Smn Blu Run Bst
So not "every other job" gets invited to delve. Just saying.
I have Bst at 99, I love the job, but when it comes to delve, I switch to whm sch cor mnk or pld. Job versatility goes a long way.
*edit*
Listed smn twice but decided to leave it since I haven't seen it, and probably will never see it in delve.
But the difference is other than run, all of those jobs get invited to other events often. I've never once been in a voidwatch group wit a bst, but even having been out just a little while, I've had GEOs in my groups. NIN can solo KI in abyssea, invited to abyssea group things, useful in voidwatch, smn:voidwatch legion, rng: voidwatch, blu: abyssea groups, meebles, voidwatch, blm: everything but delve etc

SMN is the best puller in delve, as you can link a NM with what you're pulling and drag it to the PLD without killing anyone, or pet pull and avoid the bosses entirely and not even need a PLD, and you need PD on any boss run. BLU comes in second best as a puller with the same possible eva as a THF or NIN, with native shadows, stoneskin, cures, sleepgas, and more available damage taken- tools. Hell they can even keep TH 2 on anything they pull if you really want those NQ airlixirs.
No successful group ever does bosses either without at least 1 GEO, 2 if you're doing the megaboss, because Geo's enfeebles are the strongest buffs in the game, and stack with all the others. (the evasion- aura, for instance, adds more acc than double madrigals, and it applies to the entire alliance rather than one party)
RNG is the preferred way to deal with the bee delve boss since their acc bonus cancels out her obscene evasion, and hate free damage from outside AoE range is pretty nice.
BLM and NIN doesn't get any love in delve, but they are absolutely necessary, and in numbers in every single other event in the game, so meh. (for instance, a DD that can tank and a sleeper with magic damage for slime bosses are really necessary for skirmish.)
Hell between the awesomeness of alternator, and the ability to use oaxitur, I'd bet a good PUP would outdo most DD's at this point.
Like I said, just RUN and BST are left out of Delve, and I'm not certain RUN will stay that way. But I can't think of anything in which my BST is the best choice.
If however, Infrasonics lasted longer than it took to put it up, and had good accuracy, and we could use Anna to put up vermin killer instinct in ceizak with infrasonics canceling out ceizak's evasion bonuses, we might be useful. If there were other pets with equally good enfeebles for all families so we could enfeeble and give killer instinct to every area, all the better.

Infrasonic last 3 mins and is on a 2 min recast which can be lowered by gear/merits so keeping it up full time would be viable.
There are 2 simple things SE could do that would make BST more viable in delve.
1. Increase the Accuracy and Magical Accuracy of sic/ready moves based on the amount of TP consumed.
- Right now it doesn't seem to mater if you use 100 tp or 300 tp.
2. Guarantee the activation of enfeebling effects from ready/sic moves performed while Spur or Run Wild is active.
Even with pet's floored accuracy I could still see BST being a viable job if they could consistently land the -evasion from lizard or the Max HP Down/-Def Down from Slug.

With the new update, Brethren Axe ,(item level 113) and Relic Gloves+2 (AUG) Infrasonic and Purulent Ooze seems to be sticking around 80%~85% of the time now on pop delve NMs in the jungle (I'm using /nin spells and Emp Hands+2). Unfortunately, Lizard appears to cap at level 110 and Slug caps at level 114 so even my brand new Kerehcatl (item level 119) is not helping much. Seriously... what is the point of the level cap restriction on jug pets? Its killing off the few of our pets that actually served a purpose.

to bleed you of plasm buying a 2k pet that is also useless?

Yeah this whole every other pet job just puts on there equipment and bam super pet but bst has to equip and merit and augment and then still be capped lower is flipping retarded... that aside 1 problem I noticed with infransonics (aside from everyone getting +200 acc/att from next update) is it doesn't show up in log. This is mainly a problem because it doesn't overwrite itself and can get a half duration resist. So it could wear off at 1.5 min and you wouldn't know it other than parsing etc. Plus getting tp on your pet is a pain lol
