Hey guys I started playing this in Oct of last year. I got quite a ways and it was pretty exciting for me because I found a linkshell right off the bat. I'm glad I looked into it before I started playing because before I heard you couldn't really get anywhere without a little help lol.
So then I stopped and started playing again early this year. Just today I renewed my membership because I have an xbox live friend that's going to be joining me tomorrow. The people in my linkshell are so overly overleveled it's unreal hahah I can't do anything with them because I'm just lvl 40 D:
Also I bought the Abby thing but didn't know I would need the disc to freakin' actually download to my xbox. So great -_- hahah wish I would've known that. Anyways getting off topic.

I just want people to hangout with and have fun with me and my friend. Be it through xbox live or not it doesn't matter. yeah i just did that i only start playing on odin cuz some ppl from steam were there and is the highest populated server out there

I would call and see, but I know you have to have the game disc to install it on your HDD (which takes up quite a bit of space, so make your you have a 60+gb HDD)

Billyonaire and I both are playing on 360. Easier to chat that way with party chat on the 360 and all.
I was the only one in like 50-75 miles that pre-order and got a new copy of the UC game at Gamestop...lol. So, if you want to fork out the $30, best going to get it online. I would call and see if you can switch your account from a PC to a 360 if you want to go that route. Up to you...

Playing on PC is by far the better choice for FFXI - as far as pt chat, teamspeak, ventrilio, raidcall -- some areas/events have had issues with PS2/360 but work fine on PC. Plus some content is not coming to other platforms (unless you live in Japan).
