I find it odd that /MNK gives NIN Raging Fists (an E skill), but a higher skill on GK and even with /SAM gives no more weapon skills. Couldn't NIN be given anymore Great Katana weapon skills, even if it's just Yukikaze or something exclusive? I'm not asking to be a SAM but a little more variety for only one of two jobs that can use a GK sounds reasonable enough. NIN's GK skill is over 300 and the highest we have still is Tachi: Koki.
It just seems a bit odd that SE is giving NIN more Great Katanas like the LV. 89 Taimakuniyuki. They should have use outside of Abyssea, too, but I am pretty thankful I can use them for procs when they are needed.

Actually, nin gets Tachi: Ageha. Y/G/K are sam only, plain and simple.

It is not really odd at all, in order to use certain ws, you have to be of a certain sub, and certainly a weapon you are inferior in skill with is not going to give you the same amount of WS as the job that mains it. It's like if you were to /war you can use all of the sword, club, etc ws. There is nothing odd here at all, except for the fact you would /mnk on a ninja.

Except NIN/MNK is a god for tanking in Abyssea with counterstance. Not that I'm using H2H... I have Kannagi/Kamome.
And NIN does not get Ageha as far as I know. Care to share how?
Edit: I take that back... my skill is just under 300. Thanks for sharing! Interesting... Never seen a NIN use it.

You are missing a large amount of counter from melee gaiters and merits, why would you counterstance on a ninja when you could just stack PDT/MDT and or evasion. Counter is not necessary on a ninja.

All I've got to say is to try it out. GH, Apoc, and RR with /MNK and w/e food you want. My linkshells are fully on-board with NIN/MNK now that I've been testing it out. You almost never have to use shihei and the high counter rate keeps hate toward you. You still have ridiculously high evasion as well.

There are a lot of people trying it lately, and it really isnt effective on anything other than low tier NMs that you could already tank easily if not better /nin or /sam on a DD job. Come high tier NM, and you should be /dnc or /war for that DD power or stuns/heals.
