Problems installing

I just bought the game online the ultimate with all expansions and scenarios. I downloaded it throught the link provided but yet when I click the instal button it starts extracting the files. After the extraction is done those files just disappear. I dont know what I did wrong. please help

also. the files I downloaded from the link stay. the extracted files are coming from ffxisetup.exe and there's a folder created each time called extracted with inst1 inst2 and do forth to 6 then a setup.exe but only way I get to look. at these or attempt to run them is if I pause the extraction. if I run the setup it brings me to a window where I can install everything when I click on it. it says insert ffxi disc.... I don't have discs due to it being downloaded... so...

guess it was because I was on vista. updating to Windows 7 bout to test it.
