Helping someone with Rise of the Zilart got me to thinking about the destruction of Fei'Yin, and it suddenly occurred to me how similar it was to the destruction of Tavnazia. With the latter, we know the who, why and how, but for the former we only know the who and why.
I suspect they were destroyed by the same thing. I also suspect the Orcs have an ancestral memory of the destruction of Fei'Yin (close to their homelands), and they've come to Quon specifically to keep it from happening again.
Agree or disagree?

No, the two events were unrelated. Lightbringer caused a dimensional tear to open when it was unsheathed, while Fei'Yin was part of a gigantic generator which was sabotaged by the Dawnmaidens and Kuluu to prevent the Zilart from opening the gates of Paradise (and undo Altana's creation).
The beastmen (orcs in particular) can sense the power within the weapon, which drives them crazy, so it might actually contain a shard of Promathia.

Considering what happened to Al'Taieu, isn't that exactly what happened with Fei'Yin?
