I have a windows 7 64bit
bought the xbox 360 controller designed for the PC

- controller drivers are up to date
- FFXI config (both EU and US) and POL config are set to gamepad
- POL recognizes the controller but after I reach the FFXI part of the game, it stops recognizing the controller
- POL config recognizes the directional controller testing
- FFXI EU/US config does not recognize the directional controller testing

Notes:
- Motionjoy blue screens my PC (bad)
- Xpadder works except for the Dpad which causes a big problem. Basically it doesnt work as its intended for ffxi, I cant use it as BOTH selector and pointer

Does the xbox 360 for PC not work unless you do something super special D: ?

If you use compact layout in FFXI (Config->Misc2), you should be able to map keys for either targeting, menu, or both, within that same Misc2 window (was under either Movement or Commands, can't recall). Could try both, and then map that to your 360's dpad in xpadder.

Thank you! i think it worked.

For those who are wondering which keys are available without interrupting other actions, U,O,G,X should be free to use.
