Doing a variation of Kojo's spell topic for Zones that should exist.
Dynamis - Al Zhabi
Zone basically works like a reversed Beseiged, where this time the players are the invaders. Time Extenders are the Beastmen generals who drop Rare / Ex gear, and mobs drop Alexandrite instead of Dynamis Currency. Would prefer it to work like an Old school Dynamis zone, where an Alliance of 18-36 players reserve the spot.
Boss Fight is against one of the 3 Aht Urghan Beastman Leaders, and will count toward the Mythic requirement along those lines. Also could be used to bring up Relic +2 or Empyrean armors to Delve levels through various drops there

They tampered with that pretty heaivly when they created Ulbuka, as the western continent on that map is dotted with cities, but SoA ended up having it be an untamed wilderness.
Also considering that the Valdeunia region is always snow and ice covered, i'd sure hate to live in the orcish empire/gigas homeland.

Who said the SoA expansion messes with that? There were other civilizations (like the Olduum), different races (including beastmen here), and formerly explored spots that are now abandoned areas. SE did once say the Far West had a native american inspiration.

Didn't the war between the Kuluu and the Zilart screw up the ecosystem in the northern lands 10,000 years ago? It's possible that the Orc and Gigas lands aren't like that, although they may well be.

Iirc the explosion at Fei'yin/Tu'lia/wherever completely changed and scarred the land; it used to be a bunch of forests, and Al'Taieu used to sit in a big lake up in the Northlands before it was exploded away to another dimension.

The crag of vahzl exploded and made the northern regions a frozen wasteland. it was all green and stuff before. The actual northern continet was always cold and snowy though and wasn't affected by that event.
Also Dynamis-Al Zahbi wouldn't make sense since the crystal war didn't take place there.
One more thing is that map was a fan made map that was created years ago
Whoever made it had no way of knowing what those continents actually looked like

how about giving us quests to allow us access to places like Grauberg, Vunkurl Inlet and, Fort Karugo-Narugo in the present all 3 of which could be nice lvl 99 ish content and could also become Dynamis areas
as for Al Zahbi, I think a Dynamis style Al zhabi would be neat but they would have to name it something else, something more to fit in with the Aht Urhgan story line

Well, technically, Grauberg no longer exists, so that's not likely. The other though, yeah.

Would you mark a bunch of dots on a map for cities that haven't been known to exist for ages? Putting those things on the map implies that they were there at the time the cartographer made the map.
Besides, that's not the only thing that's different. The shape of the land has changed considerably, and there's also a big archipelago on the current region map that isn't in the map shown above.

I think it's mainly due to people seeing it either spelled that way or how some people view it from seeing how much you backseat mod here on the forums. I don't care either way but yeah....

Well at least one of those points on the northern part of Ulbuka is still up there because it's involved in the Rune Fencer storyline. Apparently Sverdhried, the first Rune Fencer, created the style from learning runes in general from the northern part of the continent and applying his own style.

Well who's to say that the reason that the empire couldn't assist the Allied Forces of Altana, was because the shadow Lord stirred up the Beastman tribes there and they were too busy dealing with that.

I always thought it would be cool if we could have gone to Tavnazia in the past. I would really like to see the Tavnazian Kingdom before it exploded.
I would have also liked to have seen the Far East. It gets talked about so much in the CoP story line; never getting to go there is a bit of a let down.
I once joked about a Dynamis -Valkurm, and how Vanguard NoobWHM would use Provoke and spam Stone, and constantly run in circles around you, as if he could evade your attack and how pulling one would link everything, then CoP added the zone but no Vanguard Noobs.

I want an area that's a giant tree/beanstalk and you round around outside up on the branches and giant leaves. There could be sproingy vines that you use to go up and down quickly, too.

How about the zone Sel Phiner? It's a complete zone which has been in the dats since the game first came out and has never been used. I always wondered about that zone and what it would be connected to.

Is that the zone with the monorail?
EDIT: Apparently it is, IIRC, Sel Phiner, while an actual zone, is the zone used in character creation.

Nah, you run around inside that thing. Though that would have been a better setup for Boyahda than CN v2.0, if you ask me. Make it look like you're really inside a tree. I'm talking Jack and the Beanstalk meets the Yggdrasil here. Something else that would be cool, a massive volcanic plain that's almost entirely covered with open lava and jagged stone formations. You'd have to get around on ziplines over the magma with plumes exploding out to your left and right as you go, and then poofy mushroom-shaped basalt formations as islands where you run around and fight.

Yep. You can still see the imprints the rail system would have left in the cliffs around Gustaberg if you wander around- S. Gusta still has at least one show up as an indentation in the rock. IIRC, the actual depot would have been in Bastok Mines but was blocked off. Heck, there's still bits of the old railroad scattered through the Bastok city maps to this day, although hidden behind stuff and hence unable to be accessed without hacking.
Honestly, with some work and a bit of down-teching (we have bloody airships, a train wouldn't be THAT tough), it'd be a neat way to take folks out to whatever next expansion areas exist. It's one of those "ooh, neat!" bits of FFXI buried in ancient history, along with the old Onion armor set that predated RSE.

Well aside from the fake fan made map. The dots could be on there because of -when- the in game map was made. It could also list historical city spots or points of interest. Also Region/Beseiged/Campaign/Colonization Maps all have info on areas and list zones we don't have the maps for, just not much in detail.
That said for the fan-made map, I thought it was based off SE's design with the locations placed by a fan based on where he thought they'd go.

I've always thought that if they wanted to do a "bonus for newbies that aren't really" armor set that leveled up with the user (say, to 30th or so), that'd be what you'd use. Have it start out as RSE with +1 HP/MP on each piece, by 30th it's something like +6 HP/MP, +1 to STR/DEX/INT/MND/AGI/CHA. Be nice for a one-size-fits-all lowbie armor for new jobs.
