Is there any legit way to change the name of your account?Delete and/or start over. I causes too much abuse. Another way is to transfer your character to a server where the name already exists. You'll be prompted to change it.

The only way I know how to change one's name is to create a mule with your name you wish to get rid of on another server, unless your name is already taken there, then pay the $25 to transfer there. That's the only basic way to directly change your name.

Cancel your content ID. Buy a new content ID and name it after your old character. Reactivate your old content ID and you will be forced to name change. Cancelling a content ID saves all current data for your character, including Auction house and Delivery box items. You can simply start over where you left off with your new name.

alternately, I have heard SE will force a name change if several people report it as being offensive. I ma not sure if this will work for any name, however.
