View Full Version : New Weapons 'Weakening' Blue Magic/Pets?

So, personally I don't mind all the fancy new weapons/gear/etc. People will get used to it. One factor that I do find slightly concerning though is how this will affect classes that don't rely on their main-hand's damage rating for their damage; since that number seems to be inflating particularly quickly.


Namely, Blue Magic physical spells (base damage derived from Blue Magic skill, which isn't rising at all), and Automatons/Summons/Pets. I know the devs have posted in other threads that Summons and Pets are getting some updates, which is great, but what about Blue Magic/Automatons? Will our magic & robotic buddy just fall progressively more behind as damage numbers on raw weaponry keep going up?

Hopefully a rep can chime in later and let us know if there's some plans to help out these jobs going forward. P: Would love to see Blue Mage's physical spells get tied to main hand damage some how, or at least given some way to keep up with the new tiered gear mentality.

On that note, Dragoon's Wyverns are probably in the same boat; though they've never been a real font of damage either.
