I posted this in the main topic but it seems everything has gotten out of hand and it has become a yell fest of anger. So I will start a new topic here :

Here is a suggestion that would compliment SE's idea and the player satisfaction for the R/M/E issue.

Make it where the R/M/E weapon can be transmigrated into a player stat/skill. If the weapon is either a 99 or 99 afterglow weapon, you would have 2 additional trials accordingly :

1) 99 weapon - complete said trial (maybe make it where you kill a string of different NMs, let's say 5-10, ranging from Fafnir to Genbu to normal Dynamis Lord etc) and once the trial is complete, you would be able to "absorb the weapon's properties" into your character which would reflect on any weapon you have. (i.e. Mandau - player absorbs the traits of the weapon's +35 attack, triple dmg 13% proc rate, unique WS, add effect poison, and WS's aftermath when used and these stats become part of your character permanently)

2) Same as above but you would get the afterglow as a permanent trait as well

This way the weapons become extremely valuable still by carrying over into your character and getting new weapons will greater benefit the player than just someone who only has the base new weapon, which would please R/M/E holders and SE's direction of having players do the new content for the better weapons.

Also, please make Umbral Marrow a bit more accessible >.> Needs more sources than just Arch Dynamis Lord (increase the number of marrows ADL drops from 1 to guaranteed 2 up to 3 and have all Arch Bosses capable of dropping the item along with normal DL being able to drop at a 10% drop rate). Along with the Mythic 99 item, make it drop from the Tier 4 VNMs (at a lower rate) along with Pandemonium Warden.

Any other suggestions would be nice to hear as well.

Junk. R/M/Es should be one step above stuff available to non-R/M/E holders, but this would allow them to run around with onion weapons and rusty subligars and still be more desirable then anyone just below the magical 99AG RME line.

I know people are upset, but step back and think about it before posting junk like that.

Since the fuss is all about the high DMG rating on the new weapons, have SE reduce that DMG to an acceptable level until the devs have worked out in what direction to take ALL weapons. (R/M/E/S and all 99 weapons) THEN they can increase DMG ratings accordingly.

Diminishing returns on higher DMG ratings could also work.

This is what I think, I know I already said my opinion however, since I said my opinion I learned a little bit more about afterglows on empyreans, relics and Mythics.

Firstly, afterglows overwrite any aftermath effect a player may currently have regardless of the type. Which I think needs to be fixed.

Mythics have the Occasionally Attacks 2-3 times Aftermath,
Relics have an aftermath effect for each weapon, and Empyreans have a Occassionally deals Severe damage aftermath.
And I think that each of these buffs should be in a separate buff type, so in theory a player can be buffed with all three types, not having them overwrite each other.

Secondly, I think skillchains need a overhaul. Currently when a player closes a skillchain often times it won't show up in text because of the gear changing this game requires, and I think this needs to be addressed and fixed if possible so it always shows up in the chat log.

Third, I think that once a Empyrean, Relic or Mythic reaches the afterglow state that the base damage on the weapon should be increased by half in order to make them more appealing. I think relic, Empyreans and Mythic owners deserve at least that.

On another note once a player has the afterglow effect of a weapon it only buffs everyone else in the party when they use it, (they no longer receive the aftermath effect of the weapon), Which I think each player should receive the effect of the weapon especially the user.

In Conclusion, it takes a long time for afterglows to be completed and I think that Square enix should give us the option of how we want to play, rather then forcing us into the latest content because its the only way your going to make any friends in game.

I really miss Tanaka, Allthough I like some of the things Matsui is trying to do (make Paladins more relevent ect..) so I wish we could have a balance of these two developers rather then all the way one way or the other.

Increase all dmg and stats on RMEs by 80-100%. Look, I solved everything!

I think all of the gear I currently have should be indefinitely given buffs every time new equipment comes out, so that it continues to be the best no matter what.

First, out of the replies to a thread about suggestions and feedback TO SE, 50% are people trolling or criticizing someone else's idea instead of posting their own idea. The main concern to me is that this comes across as childish to the producers and developers of this game and they will NEVER read any of this. If we could all be a bit more serious about this, I think more can be accomplished.

Second, perhaps those criticizing might not have been around as long as some, and don't realize that some of these items people are so attached to took them 2, 3 and sometimes 4 years to make. I happen to be one of the later, and I for one would like to see something more than a useless weapon skill for my thousands of hours of farming, organizing dynamis(which was a living hell of people constantly being petty or wanting to switch their top 1 or 2 AF priorities to be greedy or complaining about how they should be first in line for this or that) and I do not want that all to be for naught. Also, the loving people at SE made us all do like 12 THOUSAND killing blows with underperforming WSs so the next time you feel like saying something inflammatory, some of us have a lot more invested than 2hours a day of daily solo farming for 2 months.

Lastly, we need a thread like this for actual suggestions and feedback. Producer M would not be stressed out like he is if they had had a contingency plan. I imagine they thought everyone was ready to move on and would love the new level of content. What they didn't realize is... we will be taking our relics, mythics and empyreans WITH US, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! And why such emotion? Because these weapons are what we value, not Gil, not armor, but these weapons. So please respect the OP, they already had to make another thread because people are derailing the other and simply post a suggestion or feedback TO SE and that is all.

Start your own thread if you want to complain, troll, or use profanity because the big kids are trying to fix this situation.

Thank you,

Management

As for my suggestion,

To keep everything, and I mean EVERYTHING still relevant as far as RMEC, just have the trials continue but only in SoA zones and just keep it simple and soloable. Do trials like kill 500 crickets, kill 500 butterflies, kill 50 mantis, kill 100 matamatas, whatever seems reasonable, nothing crazy, nothing complex and have the weapons scale with the newer weapons. The new top dog can be whatever new "relic" type weapon they create for this expansion, with RMEC falling behind only slightly in base damage and other effects.

Make all roads lead to Adoulin. Sell more copies. Less people quit. $$$$$$$$$$$$.
You're welcome.

simple, let us upgrade the weapons just like delve/skirmish gear, the system is already implemented. All you need to do is add the R/E/M to the list, anyone into scripting knows that is not a big deal.

It took me years to gear my jobs at 75 and when they raised the level cap this exact same situation came about... lots of people quit because of it... but you know what? We got over it. Why are you special?

Why are you special?Your talking about levels, were talking about weapons. Besides, lets say you live in a house on a street(FFXI) and the guy at the end of the street(SE) lets his dog(new stuff which beats old stuff by far) shit in your yard every day. At first you complained about it, but over time you choose to deal with it, he does it, you pick it up, all is well, but one day someone else moves in next to you. They confront the man at the end of the street because of him letting his dog shit in both your yard and his, right now, your telling that man who just moved in 'hes done it to me for months, just deal with it, what makes you so special?' Were not special, were bitching, if we get results, awesome, if not, oh well, but we can try, just as I'm sure many people tried when your problem was here.

I know that was a shitty annalogy... and pun.

Why are you special?

Because I'm Rick James.

The fact of the matter is those of you with R/M/E weapons will be among the first to have the new weapons as well, because R/M/E are so common these days that leaders are refusing entrance to anyone who doesn't have one... so why are you bitching, is my question... because you can? Surely you can agree that there are more pressing issues for dev to tend to than to fix your constant moaning... How many times will this be that they gave in and upgraded your toys while ignoring everyone else..?
