I know the recent update has incited alot of rage, but let's look back on FFXI from our own experiences. I know I can't be the only one here who associates memories with a song. So, here are the two I can think of... Share your own!
It's late 2004, and I am a lv 65 DRK/THF, after an odd bit of advice, I'm farming up tiger fangs in Beaucedine to buy a Hauberk, the local variety station is spamming Mario's Let Me Love You. Everytime I hear that song, I remember the old noob days.
Turned out in the two months it took me to farm up 2.5mil to buy it, my static partner moved on and we got into a big arguement. I never did get rid of that Hauberk, I still have it.
Also, first time I ever fought, what I considered at the time, an HNM, was Steelfleece Balderich, I happened upon it and let the only lv 75 I knew at the time, General on Phoenix, know he was up. General let me fight with him and now, everytime I fight a Ram... Black Eyed Peas, Let's Get It Started... I wish something better had been playing at the time.
