The amount by which Rune Enchantment increases elemental resistances has been raised.
The following abilities have undergone recast time and effect duration adjustments:
Vallation
Recast time has been reduced from five minutes to three.
Effect duration has been reduced from three minutes to two.
Pflug
Recast time has been reduced from five minutes to three.
Effect duration has been reduced from three minutes to two.
Valiance
Recast time has been reduced from ten minutes to five.
One For All
Recast time has been reduced from ten minutes to five.
Liement
Recast time has been reduced from ten minutes to three.
Effect duration has been reduced from one minute to ten seconds.
Thoughts? I personally like the Recast reductions on all of these. Liement now means you really need to be on your toes to use it well. Though I'm sad to see no sort of aid to reduce physical damage taken so we're not made of paper.

Liement recast is a pleasant surprise. The rest we already knew about, but it's all good. Positive updates.
And was that a pic of AF armour under the heading "new items"?
Edit: having spoken with Octavien whilst on RUN99, I guess not.

No AF in this update.

I dont know about liement ward ten seconds may not work but let me not pre judge, If it does not wipe out the other wards then it might work, I hope this change will work out for run.

But SE did listen to us and our discussions/testings in these theads and they have made much needed adjustment and I applaud them for that its a very good start.

I love the new adjustments, just the same complaint comes back to me; we can't take physical hits and have no way to mitigate damage. PLD has Cures, Shield, and heavy armor, NIN has evasion, and shadows, RUN doesn't exactly have anything to mitigate physical damage, their parrying and evasion isn't enough. :(
After playing around a bit, trying easier stuff, tested on Qoofim who has a Water added effect, Each Rune now give 54 resist. With current Enhancing skill, at 3x Rune with Bar- spell, I get 249 resist, I'd expect this to nullify Qoofim's added effect to 0, but it doesn't. In fact with Vallation up, I was getting between 5 and 10, which isn't bad, but this is Qoofim, too weak, imagine trying to tank something end-game, you'd be obliterated just as you would before.
It's a step in the right direction, but it still isn't enough.

I dont know how to feel about liement ward, 10 seconds duration is just not long enough and it still wipes away vallation and valiance, I wish the duration was adleast 20 seconds.

I tried Liement, too. Useless, wore off before he hit me again. You'd have to time Liement while you're doing other things to try and stay alive. They messed up Liement, was better the way it was before.

10 Seconds is plenty long enough if a monster is casting anything worthy of being absorbed. The wiping of other wards kinda sucks though.
Otherwise, pairing this with a magic def atma in abyssea should make you near invincible to some of the more elemental zone NMs. 300 elemental resist for wyrms anyone?

On Liement Ward, 10 seconds is way too short, You need alot more time then that. I think it mightve been better the way it was. Why did they mess with the duration. Im going to play some more with it tonight but the duration of this ward is depressing at best.

Set it to 1 of your macro slots, and use it when you see a mob casting a spell, if you have already lost a bit of HP. 10 seconds is plenty. Only AM1 spells will take longer than that for a mob to cast.
As for it wiping the other wards: maybe the best time to use it is when you see Valiance or Vallation wear, then hover over your Liement macro. Hit liement as soon as you see a spell being cast, or a magical TP move, and once the spell/move hits you, pop the other of valiance or vallation, whichever is ready. You can always use One for all to bridge the gap until next ward is ready too if you have to use Liement early to recover HP.

liking these buffs to Run, but I still think the job will be useless in most end game content.

Could be useful with the right tweaks and updates, but atm it's just a hobby.

I'm pretty sure everyone has Liement on macro, however i tried it again and used a stop watch, liement ward only last about 8 seconds. Looking at your post, this is alot of time consuming things you want to be doing while your busy tanking a mob and trying to absorb its magic. The 8 second liement ward if not long enough, and wiping the other wards is bad job design. Meanwhile, while we are wiping our wards to get liement ward off the mob hasn't stopped punching us in the face.
One for All, is the saving grace for run but liement ward is a cool tool which I wish and hope they can fix

I can easily see the 10 second timer being something they allow you to merit up to a more reasonable amount though. I'd imagine that's their intent, and it will end up being 20 or 30 or what not.
