View Full Version : Those rope-like vines clearly meant for climbing up cliffs in Adoulin....

Is it possible to use those conveniently-placed-if-only-we-could-climb-them tree roots that descend over cliffs, like in Cirdas, Moh/Sih Gates, and Morimar? They currently have never been targetable for me, but does colonization rate make them into targets? Or is there a key item for them? Or are they merely for a future version update?
I'm not referring to Knotted Roots at all. If you don't know what vines/roots I'm talking about, go pioneering, yo.

I've seen them too, I saw them and thought they would funciton like the latters in phominua aqueducts but alas, tehy don't have targets or seem to have any actual function.
Perhaps if some rieves are done in those areas?

it'll most likely be a pioneer's or inventor's coalition perk (possibly courier's??)

We are planning to make it possible to climb those alluring vines! However, before you imagine yourself swinging from vine to vine and climbing all over Morimar Basalt Fields, you will need to acquire the correct survival skill. :o

Let's just hope we will be able to accomplish the quest this time.
As someone who spent a lot of time exploring the new zones when the expansion was released, I'm very happy to hear about this!

Or something like the watercraft.
That's good news. I can't wait for adoulin's content, background and quests to go further.

But why?! Why put development time into this when players are questioning the status of the game - heavy hitting inquiries in fact. Yeah, sure, it sounds fun and all, but so many would rather have SO many other things fixed, updated or implemented over climbing vines....
The current note from Akihiko states "we're trying our best to implement GEO/RUN AF/Limit Break quests in next update." Leave the vines alone, and regroup your talents onto THESE things that so many more players want/need to help understand these new jobs and how they fall into the scheme of things.
Just tired of these silly things like "Cheese Sandwich recipes" getting attention over legit problems in the game. I'm all for super fun happy time, but... it's becoming ridiculous.

but so many would rather have SO many other things fixed, updated or implemented over climbing vines....I agree, there is so many things that need to be fixed and Devs are talking about climbing vines.... and survival skill... I bet once those come out, they will need to be fixed and be put on hold like everything else. Don't get me wrong sounds fun. But can't fun wait a bit until things b4 it, is fixed.

Honestly you are talking about them delaying something which would make getting around the most annoying zone in the game currently (in my opinion) easier to traverse by avoiding those cliffs and possibly even Reives (I have not looked at their exact locations) which sounds amazingly useful to me. Imagine having the ability to climb up certain spots of ice in the Glacier instead of having to walk up specific hills, think of how much easier and faster that would be!

But why?!Because they were going to do it anyway? Do you really think they're only doing this because we asked?
Those vines were clearly put there for a reason.

Not to mention they're needed to traverse to the second level of the Gates zones, as well as other inaccessible locations in Morimar/Cirdas that require it.

I'm not aware of any places where the vine is clearly the only way to get there. In the Gates, as far as i could tell you can circle around and drop down from the upper level, so they aren't completely inaccessible locations- just not being able to climb up forces you to take a much longer route.

There's one in Morimar I recall that had a mining point that could spawn up in it, which was part of the problem with the marble nugget collecting originally since it wasted potential spawn points.
In Cirdas, there's a vine wall at D-13 that leads off to who knows where. In the Gates, there's one as a shortcut for the other pathway (there's two paths through them, one is the normal, the other is the wall), as well as another somewhere else deeper in them that leads to what I presume is the second map in them.
