ZM12 The Mithra and the Crystal

I've seen one forum post before about this, but it was about a month ago and I've seen nothing happen.

Right now ZM12 is broken, the ??? that spawns the enemy in Quicksand Caves is not appearing, I'm not the only one this is happening to, and I've made several attempts to get it. With the new Geomagnetic Founts it's very easy to get to it so I try to check it often. No matter what though it's never shown up for me. Please get this fixed ASAP so I can get Sky access.

Steps: Start quest at NPC
Followed Guide on http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/The_Mithra_and_the_Crystal, I followed it exactly.
1. Start quest at NPC Maryoh Comyujah in Rabao G-7
2. Traveled to D-12 in Western Altepa Desert and head into Quicksand Caves OR Use Geomagnetic Fount warp from Ru'Lude Garens, to warp to Quicksand caves F-7
3. Fall down Pit at F-7 in Quicksand caves
4. Look around for ??? to spawn the Notorius Monster for Mission ZM12 The mithra and crystal
5. Fail to find the ???, I've never seen the ??? and that is why I'm reporting this as a bug.

Because of this I cannot complete the mission and I am stuck here unable to progress any further into Zilart storyline, please help me figure out whats wrong so I can get sky access!

I don't think you're falling in the right hole. Reread the walkthru on wiki. D-12 entrance in Western Altepa. Head to K-8 (this means skipping that first weight sensor you see) and head east (not west), I think there's a weight-sensitive door there. This puts you on a new map. Travel around the square room to the G-8 weight-sensitive door. Go through, fall through the hole at F-8 (not F-7, as you've been trying on the wrong map). Then look for the ???. Good luck!
