Vs.

http://wiki.bluegartr.com/images/f/f4/Nirvana_%28Level_99_II%29_description.png

now option A) is incredibly easy to get... just a little luck and a few skirmishes...

option B) one of the hardest things to obtain in the game, can take multiple years to get the alex, do all of the assaults, get all the Nyzul coins, get all the ichor, heck even farming glitched gulool ja ja can be a hassle, climbing old nyzul, basically farming a PW pop, heck the example I even am giving (afterglow) requires you to fight PW (if you have WAYYYYYYY BETTER LUCK THAN OPTION A) at least 77 times.

so please devs, I don't care if you have to tack on a +10% Blood pact damage, or even if you eliminate the MAB and give it +5%, +10%, +15, +20%, +25%, +30% Blood pact damage. Either way it doesnt make sense that you implemented weapons so easy to obtain, where the people who actually work for the incredibly hard to get Relics/Mythics/Empyrean weapons are slapped in the face with these people who can just go do a few skirmishes.

Final point FIX THIS PLEASE.

In all fairness, that staff is still inferior to a Nirvana....in more ways than one.

Granted, many may opt for the more easily acquired staff and settle for the lower output simply because they don't want the hassle required to complete the Nirvana. I'll probably go that route myself in the end.

That was probably SE's thinking...no one is making the better items because of the intense time-sink involved, but they want something better then what they have now--and threw them a bone.

Personally, I'd rather see them tweak acquisition of Nirvana a little more. Nothing major, just things like easing up some of the restrictions along the way to making the initial forms of the weapon (tweak the TAU portions, for example). Well, guess the absurd WS kill requirements to get to Nirvana (80) could use a revision too maybe.

a little less inferior only to the point of not having free avatar (which is easily done with regular gear anyway); however where the money counts (in the MAB) the skirmish weapon is a little better... you may think that they're throwing a bone at the players, but again that bone should still be less effort therefore truly displaying less rewards, not more... either way with all the /angry on most of the skirmish weapons I predict that R/E/Ms will get some sort of upgrade on each of them, I just wanted to state, give reasons, then make suggestions to what I believe is happening/should happen.

Thinking more about it, all I could really see using that Uffrat for is to swap in on magic BP's...something I already do with a different staff. At least with a Nirvana, you could wear it full time if you wanted. Guess it just depends on your playing style as to which you would like better. Just seems like a Nirvana gives you much more versatility, without the extra inventory/Macro woes. A Nirvana could potentially replace a lot of staves for me, kind of like a Chatoyant's for BLM.

Basically, if I'm gonna drag people around to help me with a staff, I'd rather go after the Nirvana because I'd expect to get more utility out of it in the long run. Plus, we'd be working together to get other people their stuff as well, so it could benefit the group more. Now, when we start doing skirmishes and I run across a chance to get one, sure...I'd take one as it would be an upgrade over what I already use, but can't see myself pushing for one just yet. But that BLM one looks interesting....

well that's good, you do bring up the point that I was trying to point to tho on ffxiah... technically the skirmish staff doesn't have aftermath/perp... but then they shot that down X.X, by saying most gear has the -perp and AM doesn't have any place anywhere end game...
