A single boss doesn't drop many coveted pieces so asking multiple people to constantly spam a certain path is just not going to happen very often. The fact that we can BUY all the key items to fight just the boss is a good idea in theory, but not in practice when you have to pay nearly a million gil knowing FFXI's drop rates. I don't feel the content was so hard that these items need to be as extremely rare as they are. Could they not be added to the items that can be purchased with research marks or maybe an asterium for each clear of a boss if you can't simply just raise the drop rate? Or even have all boss drop a redeemable ticket so that you can PICK an item you'd like to have.

Agreed to principle here. However, SE has always been bad with drop rate, such as the drop rate for some of the VW's items for some people are also out of this world (i.e. I know someone who is 1/700+ on Pil, I myself quit doing Pil after 0/400+). So if they would fix Meebles, I certainly hope that they would also fix VW as well.
