Hello Adventurers,

As the title so bluntly states, I thought that it'd be a good thing to suggest to our wonderful Developer of FFXI to produce their own cheaper and more satisfactory way to sell big sums of Gil to their players for a decent price. This will definitely support them to produce more profit for themselves to fund new things FFXI and help satisfy players who don't mind spending some extra cash for a bit of a Gil boost for their FFXI experience. And the best part about it is it would be completely 100% legal, as in not violating the user agreement.

This would also provide a good defense against all those Gil sellers who get on here to make a profit and sell accounts and etc on their illegal 3rd party websites. It would be amazing to see all of that extra money going somewhere we know that it will be put to good use. Suggestions?

Well for one, I doubt SE would do it even if it were somewhat an intelligent idea for them to carry out on their part, also, even if they did, RMTs would simply sell it cheaper than SE so they can still make profit I'm sure.

Ahhh, but that's the thing. Everything wouldn't be worth the time or work that they put in for at that point. They have to work to sell all their stuff or craft and build the money in-game. SE can just make a cute program that would allow a GM to just have infinite money to give out to people that have been registered for a purchase of a certain amount. If they sold it at such a lower rate than Gil sellers, then they would move to other games to make IRL money because it wouldn't be worth all of that work, time and risk to make such a little amount. They'd have to come up with so much more Gil to meet that cheaper demand that their workload would double.

For instance, I looked up 3 different sites and did some looking. It seems that the averante rate is about $11/1milG. If SE said, "Ok, we're starting to roll our own Gil selling system, $5 bucks for 2.5mil... That would cripple the Gil sellers and RMTs efforts.

The only question then is, "well then everyone would be million airs and able to buy everything" or someone would question how the imbalance would happen with so much more money in the players pocket. When then, for items that are NOT Rar/Ex/Aug, decrease the drop rates by s fraction of a hair so that things like that wouldn't be as easy to get. So, that would balance the price system out. Then it be a fair balance.

artificially injecting currency into the economy will eventually cause inflation...defeats the purpose in the end.

|Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass.|
