When are you going to add the remaining crafting Torques. Cooking, Gold, Wood and Cloth torques. It is not fair that they are still not in the game.

I have been wondering the same thing myself about the Cloth torque, didn't realize there werent gold and wood ones either... Cooking has hocho, though... I can understand there not being a cooking torque, then again, fishing has special skill+ gear and they got a torque...

Sorry to necro bump the thread, but it would be nice if this could be addressed. If it has, please direct me to it.

Hello, everyone!

The torques to boost the crafting skills of woodworking, clothcraft, goldsmithing, and cooking will be implemented sometime after the August version update.

The team has already prepared these items and they are currently working on how they can be obtained. :)

Well well, it's about time. I've felt neglected as a clothcrafter for years.

Make all torques be purchase-able with guild points. Problem solved.

Not a chance!! I spent weeks getting my Leathercraft one! You'll have to work for yours, too!

I hope they will be made upgradable and kept upgradable over time unlike the job torques/job emote torges turned out to be, which easily became a tossable neck gear item almost right away or was tossable later on!

Ummm, unless they introduce a cap on how much +craft skill you can have, or they introduce new neck equipment with even more skill on, you'll never want to toss these!

These are for crafting, not for fighting, maybe you misunderstood?

nope, I didn't misunderstand but what I did understand is that these torques will be used to level up a craft quickly but they could have an effect of becoming useless and I was using the job turques as the prime example of how they became useless but I was also stating that they could make them upgradeable as in put more craft skill up into them over time as your craft raises quickly but keep in mind we want theses item's not to take up any more room then everything else has done in the past, e-specially since I'm always on very tiny limited room left as it is.

Not sure why you are talking about leveling up a craft quickly since the crafting torques don't increase skill up rate they just add on to you current skill.

well they could do both or there could be more then one type of crafting torque as well and we do not know that yet but we can speculate on what the stats will be, just like they did with some crafting rings but that is also just an example of it as well. The rings didn't add crafting skill however, just figured I better say it before anyone says anything about that even.

We know what these will do as we've had the other torques for other crafts for more than a year now. These are the exact same, but for the skills that don't have torques yet.

Basically, they released torques that give skill +2 to various crafts, including leathercraft (I only know that one as it's the one I'm doing). This was, as DJ said, over a year ago. All that this update is, is that they're now adding the torques for the crafts that were missed. It gives skill +2. Nothing more. Nothing less.

The original ones, if you're interested, were found in the brown caskets in GoV areas (Leathercraft was quicksand caves).

The easiest way to make these obtainable would be GoV in ToAU/WotG imo.

Oh trust me I've no want to ever have to farm boxes in such a way, it's the exact reason I never even tried to get any of the skill up+ gear. That said I know what to expect and I know what the easiest and most sensical way of implementing them is, it would simply follow their already established method of obtaining these items. I'd also love Guild Points as a method for all, but that's probably not going to happen.

Hello, everyone!

As an update to my previous post, the team is working to implement these new torques in the August version update, and they can be obtained through Treasure Caskets dropped by monsters in certain areas when you defeat them.

With the addition of these new torques, we will have to make adjustments to the rate in which existing torques appear in these Treasure Caskets; however, the team will be making it so the rate does not change much for the existing rare items.

Thank you. Its nice to know they'll be caskets, there goes my cynical fishing idea... Sounds like they'll be coming from the same zones other torques drop in?

Anyway, just... just a small follow up, it took me weeks of on and off living in Horutoto(mostly on) to get my Fisher Torque, 'cause completionist... when you say "Adjust", do you mean lower? Cause they seem disturbingly low already lol.

I agree on the states seemingly being low on the torques and its kinda why I thought they should become upgradable or adjust to your current level of your crafting skill as you rank up in your crafts but guess most would be just satisfied as it is, Shrugs?

August 2017 woie.

I don't know why the job specific emote torques were included in this discussion (and I apologize for biting the troll bait) but those job torques were released for a little bit of fun, I did my COR one just this week and I very much enjoy tossing a lucky coin up in the air. The requirements are simplistic and the reward isn't the additions to the torque, it was the emote. There was no need for SE to add anything at all to the torques other than unlocking the emote. These Crafting torques are something special and as an un-and-coming Goldsmith at 62 I will spend weeks farming these - only qualm is why couldn't they be added to different caskets? no need for more than 1 torque to drop per zone. There must be some problem with the implementation which is why only half of them were released in the beginning.

Well true no one reads the notes but they did say items were added. Like the torques. And just like the ones before, they don't tell you were to get them, you kill stuff in GoV zones till someone gets lucky and reports they found them!

Yeah thats just the thing that gets to me no matter how easy it was, why create an armor piece that is not gonna be much use, just to get to the whole point of the emote when they simply should of done a temp KI to hand in on completion instead in order to get the permanent job emote which is the whole point you went after it in the first place. Well my idea is if you or the dev team went to great links to put those torques into the game mise well make them usable again at some point but I guess that's just me and yes this is off topic a bit to the crafting torques but still under a torques thread none the less. :-)

NP YosemiteYogorockBlondelle (quite a mouthful)

Soo do we just kill mobs in say The BTree for a chance at a brown casket and the goldsmithing torque?

Wasn't to clear on whether it has anything to do with FoV/GoV/ZoV etc

GoV page progression gives bonuses to brown casket rates and what you can find in them I think. Never farmed them myself.

SE have a habit of introducing items that have zero use, take the monstrosity torques.
