They should add male mithras. Should have been done centuries ago, and Square's stubborness on this subject is a good example of why good business should always trump designer biases.

The amount of subscriptions square has probably lost because of this is huge i'm sure. Males who want to play as an agile and dexterious race shouldn't be forced to play as a female. Period.

Second: Who says the mass breeding sessions behind closed doors at the mithra homelands hasn't hit it's centennial and is ready for a break? You'd think the constant sex would kill them quicker than lack of breeding.

Galka have no genitals. At all. While they are treated as males for the sake of marriage ceremonies, they cannot in any way create children with others. They are neither male nor female anatomically. As such, there is no point in creating a female-esque version of this race. SE should just openly allow them to marry either a man or a woman and call it a day, in my opinion. did you know that when a galka is reincarnated it becomes a perfect copy of its former self? They even retain knowledge of their former lives. I suppose that makes them quasi-immortal in that they can live forever, but their lives can also be extinguished for whatever reason. This makes their story a rather sad one...

It's really just an excuse. Not that I care, no need for em. Don't know why they aren't in FFXIV though. Probably just to piss people off, like the rest of the game.

Actually, it was because SE wanted to create a hyper-feminine race and a hyper-masculine race to round out the others. they also wanted to retain an even number of female options as they had male options. Since the races have specific stats, they couldn't combine the hyper-feminine and hyper-masculine races into one.

They might have been able to do that with Galka. Think of it this way.

It all drops down to bone structure. when you look at a galka in terms of sheer size and bone frame they really are built to be sturdy and have raw physical power.

But now take that natural physichal power and give it a lighter, tighter frame. It won't be as sturdy but it's potential for power output would be much higher. Meaning that having female forms for galka with smaller frame and leaner structure would lead to them having more burst power in their muscle structure while the slower and more sturdy structure of the males is sustained power.

Of course they could also just be she-hulk status... I don't see how male mithra would be any less energetic or agile. then again sitting around breeding and eating for however many years would probably make it so they'd be overweight... I mean, have you seen male house cats? Lehko is probably an outlier. I hardly think he's inactive.

When they get up there, they are greeted by a national harem for Galkas, those who live hundreds of years finally get to climb the mountain in their final years, breed to their hearts desires and sire some children. When they finally get a boy, they simply raise the child to a survivable age, they tell the child their entire life history, and any history of their ancestors they can remember. They finally give the child the same exact name as them, tell them to climb back down the mountain, and to pose as a reincarnation to keep their harem secret. And then the cycle repeats.

I've always wondered how they still exist if they are eventually bound to die before they get to their little "Mountain of Reincarnation", and now I know why!

So yeah, female galka and male mithra! I mean no one questioned it when giant mouth shapes interdimensional portals opened up to send us into the past. Why would they not accept "Oh hey, the mithra mating century has ended." and "Female galka from an alternate dimension invaded with signs saying "Galkatron needs Men."
