This is -not- what we asked for AT ALL.... we wanted mages to have the chance to obtain a fair amount, by letting them actually gain exp not by reducing the exp that you get through melee.

Well you can always come as PLD, Blue, Rdm, Blm, Sch, Melee Whm, Drk/Rdm, Bst/Whm, Smn - plenty of old dusty jobs to regear and try again. Maybe this will put a stop on melee DD going suicidal and zerging the root, or wreaking havoc on the controlled mob and getting everyone else killed. Running around while getting pecked to death by a swarm of purple butterflies is not going to help your chance of survival. At least now we may have some mages ready with their cures :)

Just got 760 TOTAL for a reive, instead of the 3k I had been getting, this isn't even remotely worth doing if this is your idea of fun or balance, you're sadly mistaken.

I feel for your loss really, that's how most of the mages been getting. Did you kill the roots too fast though? You are suppose to chain the normal mob and kill those fast while still applying damage to the roots and not zerg fest for 3 mnts. This is what's been happening everywhere in Bahamut - melee zerg the root or being pecked to death by bees, beetles, rabbit, butterflies and grasshoppers. Maybe try to come as melee mage jobs and see how much xp you could get if you get to do all things instead of auto attack?

The paladins holding the mobs are getting ZERO exp, the people killing the trees are getting 50~100. This is straight up B|_|LLSH|T.
