View Full Version : Porter Moogle slips causing game to crash

I have been experiencing a problem since the April 2nd update that causes my game to freeze up when I am trading a moogle slip to the porter moogle and even if I am trying to view the slips in my mog house. I play on the xbox360. This was not an issue until the update. Please fix this as it is making it very difficult to play the game. I believe they are also responsible for the ~40sec screen freeze I am getting when changing areas as well.

Steps:
1. I have tried logging in on my other two characters on my same account and they have zero issues, even the one who has moogle slip 4 & 8.
2. I have tried restarting xbox multiple times, relogging, reseting modem and routher. no effect.
3. I have been trying to eliminate some items from my inventory and mog house to see if it is an item conflict (which i believe it to be). No change in status so far.
4. I try not to even load my slips in my mog locker because as soon as they load, they freeze my screen.
5. I have been investigating this problem of screen freezing on other discussion boards and with other ffxi players and many others are experiencing this problem of screen freeze on logging in and changing areas. This is in addition to the other current problem of item load lag that SE is aware of.

We appreciate your additional information, and this will definitely help us. In order for us to fully investigate this matter, however, I must ask you to provide us with steps as to how this situation is happening.
This may include an example such as:
1. Target Porter Moogle.
2. Select Trade
3. Select <Specific Slip Name>
4. <Symptoms of Crash>

Does the game lag before disconnecting you? Or does the entire XBox360 freeze up completely?

By providing these details, you will better help us to investigate the matter.

Here are the steps I have taken regarding the porter moogle slips:

1. I remove my porter moogle slips from my mog locker. Simply the icons showing in my locker on view causes my system to lock up for anywhere from 15-30 seconds.
2. I target the porter moogle in lower jueno.
3. I trade my moogle slip to the moogle. (This problem occurs will all numbers except 7 and 11 simply because I do not have those two slips.
4. My game freezes up to 15-50 secs and the page loads. Each time I click next page, or previous page, the lock up happens again. About 25-50% of the time, my xbox will completely lock up requiring me to hit the power button and reboot.
5. I have tried all these steps on my same xbox, on my same account, with my mule characters (they only have slip 4 and 8 and less than one full page worth of gear on them) and I have no issues at all.
6. I get no lag, the screen simply freezes where I can not move, pull up an inventory menu, nothing.
