Took the boat ride, and defeated Engakure NM.
Then the Sea Horror pops and kills me. Rather than ride it out in a dirt nap, I HP back to

Jeuno and Way-Point back to Selbina - No Cutscene

Zone to Valkrum and Back into Selbina - No Cutscene

Any Suggestions?

Try riding the boat again, I believe there is a cutscene when the boat docks.
