View Full Version : Adjustment: Nyzul Isle/Assault

Removing the necessity of having Imperial I.D. Tags in order to participate in Nyzul Isle/Assault would allow friends/ls mates to help one another out even if they already have a group participating in one of the two events.

While it would also allow people to grind either of the two events without a restriction; I do not believe such a restriction is necessary anymore do to the content being so old/underwhelming.

This would simply allow players who were unable to complete assault/Nyzul Isle do to the limiting factor of how often people were allowed to participate in the said events.

Perhaps require you have a tag in order for it to count at least? and not required to enter, period.

I've been wanting them to separate tags from Nyzul for the longest time because it never made any sense why I had to use a tag when the empire didn't sanction it, but SE has said in the past it would be technically difficult to do.

My ideas about nyzul/assault are pretty much what others have also said

Let unused tags be stored up, like traverser stones.

Allow for people to help with an assault without spending tags. When not using tags, progress won't be recorded in for example Nyzul, but they would still be able to lot on items if they want to.

With these changes, I don't think it would be much of an issue that you nyzul and assault share tags, although new tags could probably still become available at a faster rate. like one or two more per week, perhaps?

While we're at it, why not add like one new lv76+ item per assault, to have something to spend unused points on?

The content of it can be updated to appeal to level 90/99

like have some new gear drop from it or have some emp armor upgrades if they keep going that route for the best gear.

Let us be able to solo assaults alredy. Lowered the entry of Salvage to 3 let me go in to normal assaults solo. Benn stuck trying to "Redu" all the assauts for captain rank for like a year +. You cant get 2 people to do assaults these days let alone a whole party.

I don't know about unlimited I.D. tag storage like traverser stones, but I wouldn't mind seeing maybe an increase in storage cap. Maybe double it so we can get 6 total (2 a day) instead of 3 before Captain rank. That would give us 7 every 3 days, which would be sweet. bumping it to 8 after Captain would make sense, too. I've always hoped for Assaults to be more accessible. They're doing it with normal Dynamis, so maybe this is in the works.

I also LOVE the idea of letting people join and help out without requiring tags. I liked that anyone and everyone could help with the add-on scenario battles without even having the scenarios bought. It would be nice to let people help you out without earning any credit for themselves - or even letting people help out regardless of rank. Say someone on First Lieutenant needs two more assaults in that rank to become Captain. The only friends he has that would be willing to help are on Lance Corporal. Even though they don't get credit, they'd still be willing to help out if they could.

It'd just be nice to have the option. A lot of my friends would be willing to help out if it didn't have to mean they lose their tags for Nyzul Isle and such.

I've suggested this a number of times elsewhere, too. Storing tags/faster tags are nice ideas, but tags aren't needed at all. Having more tags stored doesn't really do anything at all really. You'll need to wait 24 hours to get a new one in storage, if you've used them all up then you still have to do one run a day.
Back when the expansion was new and the gear still worthwhile, it was a reasonable limit on preventing the content being done in one day. Now however, the only real reason for doing Assault/Nyzul is for either a Mythic weapon or their weapon skills. Mythic is going to take you well over 100 days because of tags and the weapon skill (assuming you're just starting Nyzul) will take about 50. It's pretty ridiculous when everything else in the game now takes you no more than a month at worst.

I'm on edge about making Assault/Nyzul soloable. Unlike removing tags, that does actually make things easier. Though I'm fairly sure they're far too easy at this point for that to even matter. If SE wants finding two people to be the challenge involved with these events, so be it. That's only going to stop people getting weapon skills, assuming they're so lonely they don't have a single friend to help them out. Einherjar is the cock-block on Mythic weapons, I can handle forcing two people to help me with Assault, forcing a good Alliance to do a dead event is nigh-impossible.

I would prefer to see most of assault for all ranks reworked first. Some of them are noticeably more broken or difficult than the rest. The ??? items was a really cool idea that never got polished and with the addition of augmented gear it could be even better.

edit: supporting a new tag system though.

Maybe making tags required for certain floors (20, 40, 60, etc) would be the way to go.

Yes, fixing the assault tag situation would help.

What I think might help more is if people were more motivated to do Assault. Much of the gear is -really- outdated by this point. Maybe they should allow you to augment the gear via synergy.
