View Full Version : Marauder's Knife (AF1 Weapon)

To be honest, i want to throw away that weapon cause it takes slots and full of dust, it's not very useful for a THF90+, or any other jobs. A lot of THF already probably threw it to never see it again.
My Idea is to upgrade it to 50 or 75
depending on what the person wants is dagger to have for stats.
4 trial could be possible.
These trial reward would only be THF related.
i.e: Trial: "Need to defeat certain types of mobs x 1000"
Reward: "Would give the Person Haste by 2 and evasion 5 and Acc 5"
Trial: "Need to make Someone steal 500 mobs"
Reward: "will enhance Steal effect"
Trial "Need to acquire all item related to Neck magian trial"
Reward: "would increase the Treasure Hunter Skill by 1"
Trial "Need to do 2000 ws on Easy Preys on certain types of mobs"
Reward " a New Weapon Skill Called "Toxic Byte"
Strikes with tripples the attack power. Bio's target. Duration of effect
varies with TP.
only 2 of these Magian trial can be made. Once the weapon Upgraded
would not be able to get the "Marauder's Knife" Weapon. And the weapon will change name from "Marauder's Knife" to "Desperado Knife" or "Assassin's Knife"
Let me know what you think. i would see an upgrade for all other job and stats related.

That sounds pretty awesome. Although Magian neck mobs would be overcamped for months. I think it's a great idea though. TH7 ftw.

well wouldn't be that bad considering you only need 20 items for a TH1 on another knife.

you can always give the knife to the porter moogle. Its not what you are asking for but it at least frees up one inventory slot :-P

My only problem with this is it would likely be a replacement for the Thief knife couse holding 2 crappy damage wepons would blow ><;. On the other hand if it would be good damage it might not be such a bad idea.

Let's say i want Steal+ and the ws. the stats would look like this after i am done with the trial
"Desperado's Knife"
DMG:33 Delay:195 Steal +5
"Toxic byte"
In order to get this Knife
i would have to do 2000ws on easyprey to get ws. and steal 500 easyprey mobs.

i kept mine for the level 40 cap stuff, but now that most things are uncapped, well i guess porter moggie it is. O and great idea.

While i always thought upgrading our AF Weapons like we did with our AF+1, The idea seems good in theory but I don't think i'd like it in Practice. a new WS would be nice but giving every job another "Relic" type weapon specific to their jobs wouldn't work too well.
Its fun to imagine though :) So why not?

Sad thing is i actually like some of my own ideas =.=a, But i gotta maintain a safe distance so i don't get all sad when i realize they'll never add it :P.
Still, Would be nice if SE did introduce some trials to the AF Weapon, even if it just took it to level 74 with AF+1
But i don't expect it to happen, I just think of this as creative fun :) Something I don't expect it to ever happen, But its fun to imagine. As long as you don't start petitions or something.

I wanted to make SE remember that they kinda, make us forget about normal abilities such as the real reason behind "Steal" or even some job trait, i.e War with "Defense Bonus I" and he's a tank... hell enhance it with something >.>; . i Like your ideas towards THF. I agree with what you said even if it was to match the AF Armor +1 hell. i'd still wear it.
